That's more than most artists get in total nowadays. I know that the album's success right now is mostly driven by streams but I'd hardly call his sales tragic when his total sales are very healthy, especially in comparison to others. After she performed at the super bowl, she the general public were reminded how amazingly talented Gaga is. Katy Perry is always way to overexposed with each era. Which is why her last single from Prism flopped. And wasnt as big as teenage dream that being said. She will have more hits with this album for sure, and decent album sales. But let's be real it wont be as a big as her previous eras. Katy has been pretty much out of the public eye despite the recent commerical she is on, with that song "pump of the jam" in the background. I havent seen her perform anywhere no grammys, billboard awards, nothing. She will have some hits its Katy perry afterall. But will it be as huge as teenage dream and prism, theres no way. Everyone is awaiting for Gagas return, she was most voted on a poll to headline the halftime show for the 2017 super bowl. This is Gagas year to truly out sell The Fame. Think about it, Q1 was Rihanna, Q2 Beyonce, Q3 Lady Gaga and probably Britney Spears, Q4 Katy Perry. I'm talking album releases, britneys music is coming any day now probanky around when gaga releases, and katy Will also release at the same time. I think gagas and britneys album will be out by october. And katy will be saved for the end of the year november.
