Roar had the 2nd biggest sales opening for a female I believe. Also, you fail to realize that the BB200 charts now include streaming and Katy happens to be a massive force in streaming.(Prism has over 1B plays on Spotify?) Even at the start I tried very hard to remember Applause lyrics while Roar was so easy to listen. To me Applause was not good enough to compete. I can understand why people didn't really cling to it... Gaga did far better. While Roar is one of the catchiest song by Katy Perry. Gaga has her chance with LG5, she has already beaten Katy Perry in the past, with far better material than ARTPOP. Let see what happen. Gaga shouldn't fear Katy Perry, to me.
