Just Dance & Poker Face were very early in The Fame era, six months before the tour began. I think in those earliest days she was a fun dance bop person, not at all dark, and not very weird yet. She's just now showing interest in other side projects, and while that may seem like a waste of time for most of us—I like them, to be honest—if anything, she's being more creative. Also, the part about Gaga "blending in" is really just absolutely untrue. Being stripped down =/= "blending in". She's being more true to herself and is in my opinion, the most genuine she's ever been. Yes, she is stripping down with the clothing and all, but you can't judge a book by it's cover. Maybe she does have things planned out for LG5, we're in between eras after all, so this is Gaga's sort of "free time" to just be herself and relax for a bit.
