as a victim, i'm pretty f*cking thankful for the song so i suggest you take your elitist, ATRL, fan war attitude somewhere else because you, my friend, have been rihported

No you're not a victim, you're a survivor, a fighter!

You should be ashamed, you should know that not everything is about chart & success and that also songs like TIHTY aren't meant to be hits or songs you can bop top.

:what:

what you mean this song was only meant to promote a message and charity, by the way it did way more than expected, it even got in the hot 100 like you want more?

do shut up.

Your thread is just stupid, I'm sorry. For many reasons.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

I giggled at this because I think it's very cute how you responded.

You are a big puta because this song changed many people's lives who now know that there is someone to support them. Of course it wasn't commercially successful, however it is successful in more different and important ways.

Please leave the fanbase. Honestly, it's these type of disgusting liberal lunatics who infested this base during BTW and ruined her career with "messages!" and this type of flop crap. Everyone hates it. The general public, the charts, the Grammys, the critics, the fans.

The only infestation here is you and some people appreciate it. Many people actually love songs with messages since that is why music is so important to everyone; to heal the soul in different ways.

I agree with you both.

No matter if this song is a "flop", or if it's just not your thing, there is no doubt that it did some good. If not, a lot of good.

It was heavily talked about in my college campus (and many others) in a very positive, critical way; it's helped a lot of people with issues regarding their experience sexual assault, including myself.

3 points in and ready for more

Interscope wasn't backing up the song in the first place until after it got nominated at the Oscars

TIHTY flopped miserably on the charts and was an putrid song and video. I love Lady Gaga so much but we have to be honest about the state of her musical output.

Will LG5 be a tragedy like TITHY or is there hope for her first good album since 2011? I'm cautiously optimistic but every time I see that horrid song on her Spotify page with a floppy 9 million plays I get nervous for whats in store.

Sound off below :grr:

How was it putrid? Get some taste.  Because it wasn't basic forgettable (iconic as some of you say) dance pop?  It is gorgeous and made MANY people like her music again.  It was never supposed to take off as much as it did (or didn't) but it was really important.

Yes it is a sign of what's to come, but in the end we have no idea.
