Honestly, let's just be happy that in 2016 we still have pop DIVAS from 10+ years ago who are killing it by filling arenas with their pop jams!

...I mean, this is a victory for our first ladies of pop! It's not a competition between them. They are all kindred spirits striving for the same thing --- spreading the enjoyment of pop music from a live stage. And winning!

Because Rihanna doesn't have the reputation of being a good live singer. It is very well-known that most of her performances are 60% playback, 30% vagina patting, and only 10% serving vocals.

I went to the Coventry one on Saturday 25th June and we had general standing tickets so we got there at 2 and were right at the front of our section, it was amazing!!! She walked out right in front of us just a couple of metres away and when she sang love the way you lie she looked at me and my friends on the front row and smiled and waved back at us. It was so cramped everyone was pushing us from behind but I was worth it. It looked half empty til about 6pm and then loads more people turned up and the arena was basically full apart from the seats to the side of the stage of course because of a blocked view I'd say it was 90% full easily, here is a picture of our show when she sang diamonds, I didn't take this but its from the Coventry Rico arena webiste.

But seriously this was the best concert I've ever been to, she sang amazingly well and she looked so happy and it was the first concert I'd been to where the whole crowd was fully up for it, me and my friends and everyone were dancing like mad I got hit in the head by people swinging there arms around loads of times, I actually lost my voice the next morning it was great, she said we put the London show to shame. I just wished she was on a bit longer she was on for 1 hour 45 at ours. And even though our venue is called the ricoh arena its a football stadium with a seating capacity of 32,000 plus standing.

I think Beyonce has a lot of hardcore fans, she is a massive name with obsessed fans who always defend her etc, she is a big and in my opinion overrated name so she has no trouble filling stadiums because her fans always want to go back because they're so dedicated. But normal people like what you lot on here call the GP arent really bothered about Beyonce anymore as she hasn't had a big hit for ages, she isn't really on the radio except for crazy in love and a couple of others so except for being a big touring force she doesn't have as big a grip on pop culture anymore.

Taylor Swift has some crazy dedicated fans and obviously she is really popular with the GP so that's why she is selling out stadiums

Rihanna has less dedicated fans, she has a lot of laid back half hearted fans who like to listen to her but don't obsess over her its part of her image. Rihanna is the cool one for everyone, and Beyoncé is the one who wants to be adored. Loads of normal people like Rihanna and talk about Rihanna from day to day because she is so relevant in pop culture she has hit after hit, but the majority of these concert goers are hardcore fans. Rihanna probably has the most half hearted semi fans in the world in 2016 but fewer hardcore fans which bey relies on for example and Madonna now.

Anyway, OT: I personally wouldn't spend money to go see Rihanna. I'd love to see her, but I just wouldn't want to pay for it  She's regarded as one of the best artists of our time though and has plenty of receipts and talent to back it up

The verses and production are amazing though

I was actually thinking of cutting out the "wah wah wah wah wah wah you see mah doin dah dah dah" bits and replacing them with an instrumental but keeping the verses  just so I can justify listening to it 'cause I hate the repeating too tbh.
