Recently, I've noticed a lot of people (mostly media franchises such as TheLadBible, hating on Rihanna, posting 'articles' that her London show was half full. Being there, I know this is simply untrue. So this leads me to the question, who else is dragging her down? Or do these claims hold some weight to them? You've got a point there I think, in ways of release and the difference of their usual style of sound, ANTi does share similarities with ARTPOP. Both were released after a long wait from both pop girls, and the GP had difficulty in willingness to listen to the music bc both albums were different from their successful, radio-friendly predecessors. Her album was well received critically (and its commercial performance wasn't that discussed because of it), FFS was a new level of critical acclaim for her (and it was a big hit), AO inspired critics to take her more seriously artistically, BBHMM was pretty successful for a song that was barely promoted, some of her 2015/16 performances were critically acclaimed, Work was the hit that kept on giving (despite not a lot of promo at first), Kiss It Better got acclaim or the song and the video, Needed Me's video had critics talking about its visual influences, TIWYCF was a non-ANTI album but still ANTI era success, her collab with Drake Too Good got critical acclaim,... Anti is actually about equal in my book. I love ARTPOP but I rarely play it anymore and prefer Anti to it at times. I found the first listen of the album, I skipped the songs halfway through, and now I always listen to it from start to finish with no skipping. Anti has timeless music which makes its it amazing but the truth is That the music is not honest & authentic , rih did not self produce or self wrote those tracks!
