FATCAT 60,933
I'd consider current pride events to support straight pride, since they encompass the entire spectrum. They support sexuality, and if a straight guy wants to have a drink and discuss how happy he is being straight, I'll have that drink with him. I wouldn't say they're "bragging" as I've seen twitter stipulate, because if it were reversed, it'd hold true for them as well. I think LGBTQ+ groups have a bit of heat on the backburn because of the idea of a straight pride, rightfully so, but we have to be the bigger person here. Every sexuality is inherently "wired" in us, and that includes the majority. I have the same feelings regarding race relations, but that jumps the scope of the conversation. We're not making fun of the whole Hetero minority. We're making fun of the Idiotic Hetero minority. To be fair, there's quite a few gay people that agree that straight pride should be a thing Of course, they don't understand what gay pride is either but homophobes think the LGBT+ community has some kind of hive mind (complete with identical lifestyles) so if one gay person agrees with them, it's "gay approved" Whimsical bitch

teo 609
In all fairness all the tweets in the hashtag are from people being outraged about it. It was probably started by some troll and then the sjws made it a thing since they are famous for having absolute zero sense of humor.

No one is proud they are gay. They are proud for what that means, over coming adversity, yada yada. Straight pride is like, yay I overcame nothing and am universally accepted! I have.... literally nothing to be proud about for that. God, if I was proud to love **** I could be proud for anything. But that's not what it's about, even a little bit. #straightpride shows a distinct lack of understanding that even some gay people don't seem to get, or maybe they ignore it for fear of a straight person having their poor wittle fweelings hurt cause the center of attention isn't them. Yes, it's being proud of over coming an adversity, but it's about much more than that. This kitten over here (meow)
littlepotter 76,624
Stop being so pressed omfg. You're so worried about what other people are doing and saying. Why is it okay for someone to be proud to be LGBT but suddenly it's offensive if he's proud of being straight? 4 hours ago, Yo GagaGaga said: White Pride and Straight Pride just seems like they are just bragging for having an easier life Oh really? Luc 4,776
The problem here is that gay pride isn't necessarily about being proud or feeling superior to heterosexuality. It's mostly about partying, spreading awareness/protesting and feeling equal to heterosexuals. Straight pride is useless and without a goal or anything alike.
