Yes that's exactly how you convince someone to stay in the country :awkney:

Send the military to occupy their borders :awkney:

I thought Canadians were supposed to be all aboot love, togetherness, and maple syrup :rip: you definitely belong here in the States, friend lol.

If Quebec leaves Canada wont be land of maple syrup anymore cuz most of it is made in Quebec

Also Canada hasnt been very much into "togetherness" last 10-15 years

Weve had an issue with huge economic disparities in this Country from region to region

thats part of the reason they introduced the "equalization payment program" to try and even out financial wealth

But at one point at the peak of the Oil Boom (which tends to kill manifacturing in Eastern and Central Canada) the disparity was huge...

Albertas unemployment was 3.3% (2.3% by US way if measuring it) and median income of $80,000...

Im Atlantic Provinces like Newfoundland unemployment was 13% and median income about $29,000

We have a big disparity problem. Although as ive said, due to cheaper resources and a weaker currency, its improved slightly as Western Canada hurts and cheaper raw materials and currency help manufacturing in East

Quebec wants to leave Canada, Texas wants to leave the U.S., who knew division was the answer that everyone wanted :smh:

Not everyone wants to put up with one another, the more you push them together, the further they repel against one another, like little atoms.

Let's not omg lol. I'm an Albertan enjoying my time in Quebec rn, learning French and experiencing the culture. I love it here :diane: And I'm moving here for a job this fall so my francofriends better not let me down :stalkga:

Worked GREAT for America.

In fact, the southern states that once tried to leave are now the most stereotypically "American" of all.

Was Britain already so dividied in the 80's? And in the mid 90's?

i thought the EU was established with the Euro in 2001...

Politically divided between Conservative and Labour yes however the country was not divided.

The EU was also established as early as the 50s however it was never labelled as such until the early 90s.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

I'm a Latino from parents who immigrated here, so first from my family to be born in the US. I don't have a Texas accent lol. In fact, I hate the Texas accent and Southern accents in general :wtf:

Most people I know don't have the typical "Texas accent" and it's certainly a more rural thing.... people in the large cities don't speak that way. Only Texan thing we do is say "y'all" tbh.

Except for some white people who have more history of living here and might have adopted accents like that.
