Sure more freedom regarding their own finances and laws but they already have so much. For example most laws in the rest of Canada are based on English law system while in Quebec it's based on the French one. I think it's fine make more bills to give them more say and independence but why split? Also it kind of negate the fact that you do have Quebecers that are Anglophone, it's not that simple. Montreal has always had fewer people in favor of seperating than the rest of Quebec maybe because its more diverse As for your Question Larry Hill we did allow 2 referendums in the past that failed im sure we would have respected. The last one was very close with 49% in favor of leaving But Quebec has about 1/4 of Canadas Population, 22% of GDP, and if it left the Countries land mass would be split with no direct access to Atlantic Canada Economically speaking this would be a huge blow. Even tho Quebec is considered a "Have Not" Province and drains the Federal Government of $10 Billion annually in Equalization payments, were still better off if they stayed!
