But at least Camerons gone lol Scotland knew there was an EU referendum approaching when they decided to remain in the UK, so their position with regards to the UK was clearly not dependent on whether we were in or out of the EU. You can't just keep on having referendums until it sticks. You decided to remain a part of the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom has made this decision as a collective, which includes Scotland. On the 22nd of January 2013 David Cameron made a manifesto speech which included promises that he would seek to renegotiate the UK-EU relationship terms and then give the public the opportunity to remain in the EU with these new terms or leave the EU. It's a process which will take up to 2 years, it's not as simple as kicking us out. You're right though, apparently the next most likely countries are Sweden, France, Denmark, NL & Hungary. I'm glad some people actually understand the situation in this thread instead of making ill-informed statements from outside.
