What about the young artists!!" This just doesn't strike me as a money hungry grab for control it seems to me like these artists don't want people to be able to just upload their music for anyone to have access too. Artists get paid **** from their record labels, streaming services pay them **** and now it seems, to them, that people can just upload their music onto Youtube where people can freely stream their music for free without a dime going to the artists who created the song. It's not a contradiction for Gaga to want to get paid for her work, it's not a contradiction for her to work towards what she sees as more power in the hands of the artist. I'll tell her the exact same thing I'd tell Taylor swift, and the exact same thing I'd tell copyright agencies: I won't feel any remorse when I leech your discography to the masses on public trackers. Except for Taylor maybe, I don't think that most of them break a sweat when they see their music on YouTube in a video that's not their official MV. But I am wondering why can't they just delete those videos where there is copyright infringement? Even now you can't use whole songs because the algorhithm usually detects it even before posting the video. Music not the bling I guess.
