YouTube remove the copyrighted material when they get requests, what more do they want from them?

It doesn't matter if it's a fan lyric video, a reaction video or even just a random video with the song in the background- removing the audio is not going to generate any more money for the labels. I mean if anything I'm more likely to purchase music if I discover it in a YouTube video first, and this seems like counter-productive move that is just going to remove potential promotion.

And let's be real, if people don't want to pay to listen to music they're not going to be stopped by this.

In case anyone doesn't know how to respond to this, here are a couple of comments from that Taylor thread that might come in handy:

"Desperate to make headlines"

"There are more important issues"

"Greedy"

"No wonder she can't keep a man"

she's a party girl with a bad habit for drugs

seriously though, this doesn't seem like such a big contradiction in her world of countless contradictions. we know what she thinks she's doing. she gets excited like that. unlike Taylor, Gaga just looks agitated and superficial.

where would Gaga be without you tube? Lets be honest , beacuse of that platform she and other musicians get to promote their music and or/video etc. None other media, incuding television or print has that many followers as youtube has, what you are doing is using that platform to promote yourself .  Is she srious? why did you even create yur acccaunt on youtube, why do you have all the certificates and talk about how popular are you when it all comes down to what??? you tube hits!!

Dont bite  the hand that feeds you.... if it werent for  similar platforms your careers and rich privileged lifestyle  wouldnt happend as well. We are living in a digital era after all.

And when ego and fame hits, it hits her (and others) really  hard... Good luck being money hungry and counting every dollar, and lets see how many people will  still feel connected to you- all the ones  that give up  their lunch money for your Malibu mansion .

This sums up what I want to say about this mess. As an example with what you are saying, I was watching a car crash compilation earlier and the person with the dash cam was playing a song that I never heard and it made me want to go find it because I really liked it.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

Well, an artist deserve every penny that they earn. Many of them worked hard for the music, and the lyrics. So, good on her.

Buy the CD, or digital albums, and support the artists.

If youtubers want to use music in their videos, there are plenty royalty free music available.

I don't see anything contradicting what she's said in the past. "Music not the bling" doesn't mean she shouldn't get paid for her work.

Right?

Every.single.time. they use the "music not the bling" thing wrong. It's crazy!

She explains she doesn't mind about people downloading her music for free, "because you know how much you can earn off touring, right? Big artists can make anywhere from $40 million [£28 million] for one cycle of two years' touring. Giant artists make upwards of $100 million. Make music -- then tour. It's just the way it is today."
