Swift & other artists want to alter DMCA

I still don't understand how YouTube is failing these artists though when I can't seem to post clips from any of them.  Do ALL of these artists really think that?  I thought I knew YouTube but maybe I don't.

OH MA GOD!!!!

I just read the full text of the petition!  It doesn't mention YouTube at all!!

The original article has got to be THE most misleading thing EVER!

The article title should not be "Taylor Swift at war with YouTube", it should be "Huge list of artists want to alter the DMCA".    :smh:  Maybe I should change the thread title.

(Sorry OP, not blaming you, I was totally suckered by the article too!)

Gaga's in there too guys. :interestinga:

I find it quite suspicious how TIDAL artists (Madonna, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Nicki, etc.) are not on that list.:stalkga:

I support her tbh, if I wrote an album and people were downloading it for free I'd be just as рissеd

She's fighiting for her money and that's not bad. But i can't believe that she cares about music. Actually she cares about money and nothing else.

Whispering

Does anyone here ever read the actual article that is linked?   :smh:  Taylor is just one of 180 artists that signed this letter. Look at the list of names, it includes Gaga, Britney, Pink, Katy and many more big names.

Someone change that OP pls :emma: Just has a very misleading effect.

Though, tbh, if people are that quick to call her a money-hungry witch based on a few lines of misleading info :air: Probably doesn't matter in the end.

She needs to realize that people will still torrent her albums no matter what she does. BUT good on her for trying.

This thread is so ironic. The petition doesn't even directly mention YouTube and everyone jumped down Taylor's throat, but other artists such as Katy, Britney, Gaga, Rihanna and so many others also signed it :awkney:

Phew, if Katy signed it, then it means that's no risky step or any revolution in providing music.

Illuminati

Not Taylor Swift doing it again :emma: i mean okay if the music industry is so badly affected by it then i guess i should support it but it's just so awkward that Taylor Swift just has to be behind it as the main contributor as if people didn't find her greedy enough.

I've heard this might have a very bad impact on Youtubers though so that kinda sucks.
