Presumably they started making videos because they enjoy it and that naturally extends into other visual mediums like TV/movies, etc. Of course they're taking advantage of opportunities that their established online presence provides to transition into other areas, further their careers. Whether or not they succeed or that everyone likes the content they put out is one thing. But they're putting effort into creating content one way or another, which technically makes them artists.
