Good For You was well received by music critics who described the song as "sexy" and "sultry". The song has appeared on many best of 2015 song lists. The song received very minimal promotion and yet it's Selena's biggest hit to date. Good For You was the second biggest debut of 2015 (behind Adele's Hello) by selling 179k copies in it's first week. As of 2016 Good For You has peaked #5 on Billboard Hot 100 and sold over 1.7 million copes in the US. The song was also successful outside of US becoming her biggest hit in countries like Australia or UK. The song has sold over 2.6 million copies world wide and has 16 certifications making it Selena's most certified song.
