KURUSHITOVSKA 20,451
When you had to sell a certain amoint of copies to get a platinum hit and not only free streaming that no one is paying for it. It was so exciting to see Gaga getting a platinum because she sold so much. Now everyone can get it if the video is viral. Cool limited editions packagings, not the same product all over again with one track extra for a certain country or an exclusivd cover just for some country When it was all about the music and not hipsters, like Urban Outfitters manufacturing vinyl and cassettes like they were caring about the music when all they want is $$ frm the fans. Vinyls have to be mastered specially and well manufactured. Cassettes are just cute, their sound quality is awful. When it wasn't all about showing your boobies and ass on your music videos to get views and then a #1 bc of the streaming success. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? PunkTheFunk 124,530
When music videos weren't just people writhing around in dark rooms/"dancing" infront of projector screens/twerking under pink and blue lights You know who you are

Born To Slay 10,996
I miss the quality of pop music from 2007-2011. Nowadays, with few exceptions, pop music is bland and average.

Kayla 7,595
People used to line up at record stores to buy albums and really appreciated hard work put into music. Music was an experience to people back then.

Poissonche 12,365
I miss the time when the hits were... hits. Like, you heard it, and you know it was a hit. Now, people try to make cool and different songs, but the more they try to make them different, the more they sound the same. They're so cheesy, and when you listen to them for the first time, you feel like you've heard them before, they're so predictable! "I don't wanna go to bed, I don't wanna go to bed, I don't wanna go to bed WITHOUT YOU" like, seriously? The cheese is so strong I can smell it through my radio Stupid songs used to be stupid in a fully assumed way, but now they're trying to sound intelligent even if they're really not. And also the way people listen to music now. People JUDGE ME when I tell them that I bought the music I have. What is this culture? I don't understand. Benji 20,113
I miss it when pop artists didn't moan and whine. I don't care about your rich people problems. Shut up and make some music to keep me entertained at work or make a bop I can get down to.
Versace 7,980
When one hit wonders were not a thing You had to have a somewhat good album or you had to be known for a while before the public would push you to top 10 even and the good thing is once you made it you stayed and you became something because the public grew with you and supported your career Yes this isn't 100% true but I'd say in most cases, yes you had one hit wonders who were forgotten later such as Kelis, Lil Mama even Leona Lewis to some extent (don't know why though, she deserves more ) Nowadays it's like the charts are Mc Donalds, people find these random artist with the tackiest songs, support them with a song and then it's bye-bye yet the ones who we've grown to love get paid dust It honestly takes the value from a number 1 song
