They can go away. A few black kids shot dead or whatever crap they're complaining about doesnt hold a candle to the 50 people shot dead in Orlando. I'm so over hearing black people complaining about everything and classifying every little damn thing that happens to a black person as white man's fault and pulling out the race card.

A few black kids? What is wrong with you?

The death of minorities isn't some sickening contest of "who has it worse". All hate crimes are horrible and should be treated as such.

At the end of the day everyone matters out here. I don't get why this thread is becoming a blame it on black people session but what we need to remind ourselves is that everyone matters.

She's just selfish. She doesn't represent the BLM movement in any way shape or form.

However, just a reminder to the white people who are salty:

You cannot be racist to a white person. You can be prejudiced, but not racist. White people have never been suppressed as a racial group.

EDIT: and also, please don't say "All Lives Matter." It's incredibly disrespectful. The reason why the movement is called what it is is to show that racism is still alive and is being suppressed. When people say "All Lives Matter," it's another way suppressing the actual issue.

Girl, buddy, friend, pal, no :smh:

"White" is a race. Racism is the dislike, unfair treatment, or stereotyping of someone based solely on their race. You can be racist to any race meaning you can be racist towards white people :smh:

Everyone's so obsessed with pointing out what color the enemy is, how do you guys think this will solve anything? How do you think you'll convince any unsure white person to be on your side when you're telling them that their quality of life is automatically better than someone else just 'cause they're lighter? THAT is racist :smh:

Instead of pointing out how often the white devil stomps on the toes of oppressed minorities, maybe take a page out of literally every other civil rights movement in history and realize that no one type of person is the enemy? Ignorance can lie in any body regardless of color? I'm literally sick to death of feeling second hand alienation by people calling out my "privilege". I am a lower-middle class gay Puerto Rican living in Hickville, Florida who's had to deal with more sh*t in my childhood than most do in their entire lives, don't sit and tell me about my quality of life based on the fact that I'm lightskinned :smh:X666

I agree with the "all lives matter" thing though. BLM doesn't have the best reputation 'cause they're so combative and disruptive (or at least that's what they're known for) but saying "all lives matter" is just a cheap attempt to undermine their cause, which is a just one even if I disagree with the wording they use. It's like saying "straight pride" or something, it's just totally pointless and only used to be condescending and ignorant :toofunny:

Venting. I still love you though :hor:

One good thing that came out of this thread is how it exposed the racist members in here, which is hilarious cause they're also the known Trump supporters :toofunny:

That is not true. You can't be systematically racist to a white person, white people don't and never will suffer systematic racism - but of course you can be racist against a white person. I don't get what the point people are trying to make is? Because white people don't suffer systematic racism they don't suffer any type of racism? There's no sense in that statement.

If I break somebody's leg is my leg automatically unable to be broken?

Nobody disagrees that white people don't suffer wide scale racism on a systematic level, and that racism isn't a part of white people's day to day worries.

What a surprise, the Trump supporters who don't want to be generalized as racists are the first to generalize a group off one girl who doesn't really represent BLM :awkney: sort of hypocritical, wouldn't you say?

OT: it's disgusting how she makes it about herself. She needs to accept that people that were a part of the LGBT community were killed and targetted

Misleading post. She does not represent the peaceful Black Lives Matter. stop. Do you guys stop to think before you post so offensive topics? This is just easy research that could resolve this. Reported.

Maybe the peaceful ones should form a group under a different name. :awkney:

Wow. I find this idea very interesting. Also very wrong at first glance. Do you have any academic document that discusses this idea further? I'd like to look at the development of this notion of racism.

as far as I know racism is not about historical oppression. That would be a consequence of racism, not racism as a concept. Racism would be the ideology that humans can be subdivided into races, some of which are superior and some inferior. I thought this was the academic definition of racism.

they act as if were talking in a sociology class but dont realize that the majority of the world does not use the word racism in that context. when they say this nonsense it really disrupts the conversation with semantics arguments and derails things and then they even get mad when you use the widely accepted definition of racism. people who say that kind of "minorities cant be racist" bullshit need to learn how to communicate with the masses because the majority is who you have to get through to and the majority do not define racism in that way. the more they try to push a new definition the more they are discrediting themselves in the eyes of those they wish to convert into allies.

edit: this next part isnt directed towards you :derpga:

stop ****ing saying black or latinos cant be racist. you're hurting the ****ing cause and making social justice into a joke. we need to communicate effectively but the way the SJWs communicate only creates more divisiveness rather than understanding . oh and they definitely helped elevate donald trump. there is no other way to slice it, when you talk to trump supporters the thing we always hear amongst immigration and ISIS is the need to stop political correctness. now honestly i dont know if this is a good thing or bad thing but  i think trump was a positive for the country so hey maybe they did something right :laughga:  if trump wins tho i'd be for rounding up all the SJWs and shipping them off to syria in exchange for refugees :gaycat: in with the good out with the bad.

:derpga:

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

This comment:

Complaining about racism, when one of your opening lines is, "Many of you probably don't know because you're white". Shut up.

Sums it all up :applause:

I totally agree.

OH and I hate people with that typical argument of "white people was never oppressed". Think about what racism is about,  its history isn't a justification. That way we will never be unite and bad men and women will take it to make wrong.

ARTPOPisaChoice

This is already one of THE most divisive issues of the year in American domestic policy, involving gun control, the LGBT+ community, and Islamic terrorism.

Making it about race, especially when BLM does not really focus on Latinos and the shooter himself was a PoC, is ridiculous.

The BLM movement will self-implode if it's regional sections don't unite towards a common goal of ending the discriminatory practices still taking place against PoCs in many urban areas in the US.

She was being totally inappropriate

Black Lives Matter is important, but she was using the opportunity to overshadow MOSTLY LATINO deaths with her jokes / sarcasm about BLM..,completely inappropriate for the situation.  This should have been about latinos, at latino night, at a bar that latinos regularly visited.  Yes a few were probably afro latino, but that doesn't justify trying to make the entire thing about BLM.

Though tbf the men that got angry looked like rednecks so they were probably some of those "all lives matter" racist people :awkney:
