Who's talking about intentions? I've never seen you before so I haven't established assumptions about your intent. Although, it doesn't help that the phrasing of your question is already biased in its expectations. You're asking people if she's a hypocrite, not their thoughts on the matter in general.

Your question: This shows that the Clinton Foundation has actually received A LOT of money from countries that, well, aren't very good when it comes to LGBT rights. Do you think Hilary is kind of a hypocrite for doing this?

The thing is... the subtext of this thread is entirely xenophobic, because it has this implication that one should not have any transactions of any sort with different cultures due to differences in approaches in singular issues. That's xenophobia in a nutshell. It's stereotyping people from those countries as necessarily sharing the belief in their laws (which implies that all Americans were also anti-LGBT before pro-LGBT legislation was enacting). The culture there is different. When working in international affairs, that needs to be treated with respect, if not with approval or tolerance.

It is also fixating on Middle Eastern countries of varying LGBT attitudes, making the unfair implication that the law is actually applied in those countries. Saudi Arabia is the only one with actual strict behavior, and the fact that Clinton has relationships with people there is a result of different issues.

What about China, Japan, Indonesia, a lot of Eastern European countries etc.. that the USA has relationships with? Those countries have dubious LGBT laws in place, and anti-LGBT attitudes that are far more ingrained than those in Muslim countries. Why did you not mention those in the OP? It's important to provide a mix of cultures. You're just zero'ing in on the Middle East, because there is this notion (intentional or otherwise) that Middle Eastern countries are part of the Axis of Evil or something.

Also there is this implication that Hillary is endorsing those countries when she receives donations FROM them. How does that work? The opposite holds true. You endorse an entity when you support it.

Also you are attempting to establish a one-to-one relationship between LGBT rights and interacting with these countries as if that's the only option to consider. Until very recently, Saudi Arabia was a necessary ally in the region to counter the Russian-backed Iran, prompting Hillary to interact with them on more occasion in neutral terms at worst.

What's so bad about maintaining friendly relationships with entities you are allied with? Do you suggest pushing them away rather than trying to rub off on them for the better? Women can now drive in Saudi. How is that not positive influence?

Worst of all,, you're making this false correlation between the Clinton Foundation and Hillary herself. Counter to what the GOP says (and what Sanders is all too eager to dramatize), the Foundation is still a charity organization. Why would it be bad for that charity to receive money?

It's odd that you think that charities refuse money when there are, as far as we know, no relevant strings attached with their expenditure. I fail to see why you're trying to paint her as a hypocrite for taking money from people, who are actually endorsing her, to spend it on charitable functions.

Treat it like a grey area.

Again, you are concentrating your post on ME as if I wrote and did this research myself and started using it against Hilary :saladga:

Yes, I did ask in the OP if she was a hypocrite, why not? It could go both ways, if I'm not mistaken. I can see that you are very much informed about things and I am glad because of that, maybe my views are wrong, but I just can't seem to understand how could you see the act of receiving donations like only an act of "supporting" someone, and not as an act that has some other motives, which clearly it does have. It has nothing to do with it being a charitable organization, literally nothing. Because they give money to one organization, while destroying lives on the other hand.

And about the Middle East thing. Again, I think you've got this thread wrong. I did NOT make that picture, you have a source in the OP. For some reason, they used only those countries, and I see what you're trying to say. I do agree with you on that, it should have a bigger picture because clearly the problem is not only in these countries, even though they have focused on those countries with this research.

Politicians are like whores of Capitol Hill, they'll take a dime from the devil if it gives them a chance at reelection. Not even defending Clinton here, but Washington is anything but a clean town when it comes to money. Politicians are really glorified lawyers and these are the type of people who defend killers, rapists, and thieves for gold and glory. It is unprofitable for them to have a conscience. Even when you're deciding between the lesser of two evils, those hypocritical white buildings still get filled with evil. They ought to paint them all black, it would be more fitting and honest with what we're dealing with.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

i'd like to see a number of how many of those sentences are actually carried out every year. just because i always see those outlandish punishments but never numbers on how often they use it. it doesnt really matter but i'm curious.

on topic: I for some reason would like to leave other country's cultures alone :emma: . if a country is going some kind of mass genocide or something then yeah intervene and all but if its just some social issue within a country then i'm fine with leaving it be and let them be who they are. i dont like the idea of imposing or moral values on other countries. feels like some colonial times type of stuff.

when it comes to business i want america to do business with as many countries as possible. thats how we infiltrate and spread out influence over the world. i dont want to change them by punishing them until they change but showing them how great our culture is and getting them to emulate us. i want to own their hearts and minds :sis: . dont you want to be american? dont you want kardashians and hamburgers everywhere? dont you want american movies, music and TV shows? dont you want to have strip clubs, spring break parties and American football? dont you want to love the gays like we do? i mean look at how fashionable they are and how fierce they are to the point where they believe they can call for hillary clinton to turn down millions of dollars just to support little old them?

dont you want to be like us? :sis:

yes............ yes you do because we are the best i mean thats why there is a website like this worshiping the american deity Lady Gaga. clearly you all want to copy us :sis: i dont bame you

seriously you dont change their views by insulting them :neyde: you communicate and build bridges even to a place as disagreeable as saudi arabia.

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.
