Trump had to change his mind on some issues because more attacks are taking American lives. I'm fine with that. Whatever keeps us safe. I know the idea of a gun free America sounds nice but I just don't think it's possible. The rise of crime is not because of guns. It's because we have incompetent leaders who let bad guys do whatever they want.

Are we gonna sue ford every time a drunk driver kills a family on the highway? I realize other countries have little gun violence, but they are also controlled by government. That's not how we are designed. We are here to do as we please, make as much money as we please, protect ourselves as we please and ladada...well that's how it's supposed to be - that's what sets us apart.

Everyone saying that "People will get guns illegally even if you ban them" doesn't understand the point of gun regulation  The point is to lessen this effect as well as to make people who are unfit to own them not be able to get guns as well. The PROBLEM is that its easy to get guns, for some legally or illegally. 

Hillary's speech was amazing. Shes actually a pretty decent public speaker, which people don't realize, though I wouldn't say shes better than Obama during his height (He is always SOO tired when he speaks these days, the stress of the office has really gotten to him, which is totally expected, but like wow he like never used to stammer at all or pause to think)

You act like the only attacks using AR-15's in the US came exclusively from ISIS. She didn't say take guns away, she said stricter gun laws. If you are on an FBI watch list, you shouldn't be able to by a semi automatic rifle. And by the way the Orlando shooter was American born in NY. Donald lied about where he was born in his speech.

The car industry in the US has the most strict guidelines in the world for safety. There are cars sold world wide that cannot even be shipped to the US. Why would we not put those same safety restrictions to guns or the type of guns sold and to whom they are sold?

The whole drunk driver analogy is stupid. If Ford were selling cars with 1980's safety regulations and not 2016 safety regulations of course you would blame Ford. If the congress or the house or the president decided to go back to old safety regulations on Fords, you'd be pissed too. But that's exactly what they did in 2004. They decided against renewing the semi automatic rifle ban.

The issue with the incident is that the perpetrator allegedly bought his weapons legally even though he was on a FBI watch list. Background checks should have been more thorough, though what legible data did they have to go on before this and how do you profile for red flags without coming across as stereotyping innocent from those who wish to carry out attacks?

Banning migrants seems heavy handed, when federal agencies should coordinate more to screen for threats from volatile regions from those who simply are trying to flee conflicts.

This is a complex problem that needs thorough solutions, it isn't black or white to simply set up scapegoats for convienent and negligent talking points to capitalize on fear that terror attacks like these are intended to create.

Hopefully, cool heads will prevail across the table from liberals and conservatives like America came together for a short time after the 9/11 attacks.

I'm not crazy about either candidate, but divisive politics from them that rip us apart is what the ISIS ideologues want, to tear America down. America can be better than this. I know the pieces fit, because I watched them fall away.

People in this country need to rediscover communication and not regurgitate the narrative the talking heads over the media seem to toss around to get people heated up. We need to have a logical, mature discussion about how to keep tragedies like the one in Orlando and mass shootings in the past from plaguing the following generation.

Well yes good point. I should have said I meant more so the person behind the gun, not how it was built...but I guess I didn't explain that. The club was a gun free zone and look what happened.  I  do believe that stricter gun laws won't work until we actually have a government that is willing to follow the laws! Right now we have one that is so corrupt what is the use?

And about the shooter buying the gun. How does that happen? Does anyone ask this? The FBI questions him and investigation was halted. Clinton Camp put a stop to investigating his mosque. I believe our current administration has allowed these tragedies to take place to push his anti-gun law agenda. Why else would they be blaming Americans for this tragedy. Hillary will do the same. I just don't trust the government.

Now Trump is by no means perfect but I believe he will keep us safe. I think the home grown terrorist is even more dangerous than their parents. They are after all the ones carry out the majority of these attacks.
