Why was there no background check? Why is someone on the FBI watch list able to buy a gun? Why is an AR-15 even legal?? There's no reason for that gun to be legal. There is never a reason why someone would need a gun with that many rounds. It's insane that anyone would disagree with that. NEVER ever ever would you need to shoot that many times that quickly. Not while hunting, not in self defense, NEVER. It needs to be BANNED. We need THOROUGH background checks and STRICT regulations on gun sales. Third, if you fired a pistol and then an AR-15, you would probably prefer to use the rifle. Judging these on presentation I think Hillary's was more effective in showing a sense of unity and optimism because her venue was brighter and you could clearly see the crowd, there was enthusiasm in the crowd, she had her friend on stage etc. I felt the speechwriting was better for Hillary. She had some well planned and well delivered moments ("you have millions of allies and I am one of them") whereas I think Trump used repetition to advantage in underscoring his points. I was struck by the overt and forceful defense of the LGBT community and the right of Americans to live openly and love who they love, coming from Trump. I was pleasantly surprised. I felt Hillary's plan was more attuned to and aware of global western attitudes and approaches toward terrorism and seemed to emphasize cooperation among governments and other groups. I felt Trump was more focused on drawing and enforcing borders which seems to fit with his policy proposals. This is minor but Trump seemed more tired than usual. He seemed to struggle breathing in his nose and at times his breathing sounds distracted me.
