Was Gaga at her best when she was inspired by Madonna?

This doesn't even need photographic evidence; Lady Gaga's career from 2009 to 2011 was heavily inspired by Madonna. From the purple jacket to the high pony, many outfits and even in her music videos, she constantly SERVED. I think Madonna's comments in 2012 had her shook and she went back on everything, claiming she was inspired by 'those rock legends!' (yeah right). All of my favourite Lady Gaga looks are Madonna-inspired; even her mannerisms were very assertive and bold, just like the Queen of Pop.

I think her last iconic look was in 2013 with the ARTPOP promo pictures, everything else was just, well, let's not even describe it. I hope Lady Gaga becomes controlled again and pushed as the next Madonna so she can serve POP ICON instead of awkward Hollywood star.

Thoughts on my correct opinion?

Her best work was under BTW, and I don't consider that heavily influenced by Madonna.

So, no, not really.

She's been constantly serving looks ever since her debut, it's just that she's praised less for it cause the world and monsters got desensitized by it. So, no.

To me TFM was her best era and that era was more Marilyn Manson than Madonna.

The Madonna inspiration has always been there but I never saw that many similarities. Madonna has many looks but she has  never been rockish and Gaga has always had that rock vibe.

Your (yeah right) comment seems very shady. She was obviously inspired by rock stars and anyone who is actually a rock fan would have noticed that since the beginning.

yeah she is fearless, the moment she leaves the building it seems like she rules the whole town.. The look in her eyes, that's the thing I live for.. And I love her in Hollywood, but to me it feels like Gaga seems a creature of herself in Hollywood, she is Stefani looking weirdly dressed.. But in New York it seems like it's an attitude, a personality

But ofcourse she had some terrible looks in NYC too, but for me she'll always be a NY girl

For me, TFM era was her best.

Like a Madonna album (excluding the excessively elongated MDNA and Rebel Heart), the Fame Monster was very concise and left no room for mistakes. From the music videos, outfits, and album production, TFM was clearly influenced by Madonna's works.

TFM = Confessions 2 :stalkga:
