What happened to not posting opinions as threads :poot:

They won't be satisfied until Bernie gets in bed with Hillary :poot:

Best thing to do at this point is to ignore Bernie and move on. Stop with the primary way of thinking. There is a nominee now, unofficially official lol. If Bernie doesn't want to see that... well he's delusional but it will all be over in July.

This is now the general. Trump vs. Clinton.

This isn't about the presidential election anymore.

Sanders has a cult of personality that needs to be disassembled.

How is this an opinion piece?

This is a compilation of quotes from Sanders aids.

We don't even know who these magical aides are. And no, the constant repetition of "aides say" does not suffice :rip:

I mean: "Sanders said, people familiar with the conversation said." :air:

The quotes (the majority of which are not new at all) are embedded in the already established opinion: Sanders is a bitter bitch and brought the ruin of his campaign on himself. Now we can perfectly discuss that, but we don't need this article for it. Just tell us what you want us to talk about then, directly.

Why do you care about his personality? He can do whatever he wants. He won't be our representative anymore.

Do you want recordings of the conversations? transcripts?

They literally state that they have obtained e-mails and have spoken to Sanders aides.

Don't look for ways to discredit articles to fit your own agenda. Believe them or don't. I don't see a reason why they would lie when they have no record of doing so.

"A cult of personality arises when an individual uses mass media, propaganda, or other methods to create an idealized, heroic, and at times worshipful image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise."

Sound familiar?

Yes, but you didn't answer my question. Focus on Trump. The true enemy.

You're not incorrect. Trump is the true enemy at the moment. The Sanders issue however may transcend this campaign.

If people believe that Sanders was someone he isn't, they'll go their entire life being bitter about the political process. I aim to fight that, and show them that Sanders was just another politician with his own ambitions.

---

I won't be doing that in the US elections thread though, so don't worry this is not going to be a running theme.

People have always and are increasingly bitter about the political process.

Why do you think Sanders and Trump even got so much support? This was been brewing for YEARS. People are tired of the same old thing (or at least politicians who appear to be the same old thing).

Well Sanders is the same old thing, just packaged differently to appeal to younger people. I'm sure you know that what Sanders proposed was never going to happen. He'd have to go through the same hoops as everyone else.

Trump is an anomaly, but the bitterness isn't a good one. These were people who were bitter about all the social advances in the country. Hardly commendable.

----

Again though you're not incorrect. There need to be changes.

If you want to find the leaked e-mail exchanges, do so yourself.

Don't look for ways to discredit articles to fit your own agenda.

I don't see how that matters when in the end it's all up to personal opinion anyway. I mean, that description of how Bernie's camp is divided is 100% negative and there is nothing objective or newsworthy about that.

Also, why would I defend an article that doesn't even mention how many sources they used. Maybe they talked to two random dudes (again), which would qualify as "aides say". "Top aides say" what the **** does that mean. And then to use those quotes to back up already held opinions, nah, that's not something we need in an OP here.

And you know damn well I have no agenda lol :laughga: Maybe you should stop looking for ways to defend ridiculous journalism to fit your agenda, as you said above (which is now edited, sadly): "It's my primary aim to disassemble the cult of personality Bernie has gathered" (paraphr).

I don't even know what to discuss here. Is it that Bernie's camp is divided? That Bernie is being bitter and ruined his own campaign? What? That OP is not news, so you're gonna have to tell us, which is all I'm asking. I didn't just post that Armani bs about Hillary like this either.

:laughga: Don't defend it. I'm the last one to tell you to believe an article without sources.

There is something called credibility though, and the authors of this article have that judging by their previous writings. They show no bias and have consistently displayed integrity.

Perhaps the aides did not want to be recorded or revealed. I wouldn't blame them.

In any case saying that the article is automatically wrong is pointless. There is no reason to believe it isn't. It's not from a biased source and the sources are credible.

Believe it or don't, just like anything that comes out of anyone's mouth

----

And yes I know you don't have an agenda against Hillary.

The only thing I want to discuss is to paint a clearer picture of Bernard Sanders. That's all there is to it. People can still disagree. I'm not going to criticize people for not believing this piece.

Although it would be funny.

Sure.

Too bad I wasn't really active in US Politics back then to care though. Too busy dodging carpet bombs.

Because of this:

After intentionally pushing buttons for no reason you liked that and then make some more threads like it. Just do what you liked and don't post opinions as OPs.
