I find it so difficult to understand what she's trying to say about Gaga and Stefani

She probably means that Gaga is up to interpretation? Just as art is, That's what I got from this.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Nice to hear her again.

It kinda irks me how they talk about capturing moments at concerts. Like, in my opinion, taking a few pics of an artist doing what they're best at doesn't prevent me from experiencing the show. It's a way of documenting these thrilling experiences so that you can relive it again for years and years.

I can understand when they talk about selfies killing the moments during brief encounters, but in regards to concerts, fans have the liberty to do what they want in concert with the ticket that they paid for. If certain fans want to waste the moment by recording the whole thing then let them, if fans want to just take a few pictures and go right back to jamming out then let them.

How can GP understands that? x)

I think GP don't even consider Gaga being able to change culture, so I think they will sadly ignore that part(?) :emma:

Great interview. In total it made so much more sense than the two previews we had. Loved their chemistry.

I find it hilarious that they explain everything to the viewer (Ryan Murphy, AHS etc.), but later refer to BTW as "that song" twice:toofunny:

What a confusing interview :saladga:

I blame Jamie. Half of what she was saying didn't make sense and she spoke far too much. :neyde:

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Of course people who attend concerts have the liberty to do so but they've described the moment from an artists' perspective when you're on stage and all you see is people focusing on their mobiles to capture these moments where you, as an artist, try with the highest amount of dedication to put on a great show in order to connect with the audience, to feel the excitement and feel the adrenaline in this atmosphere, to be reminded again what's the very own reason why you perform for them at the point of presence, why you're doing all this. And you simply cannot be completely IN such moments when your staring through your device to enjoy the show, even when it's for a few seconds. Vice versa, the total amount of people filming and taking selfies during these performances is killing the passion for an artist and I totally get them when they're frustrated about that selfish behaviour..

This interview was, in part, her begging the GP to understand Gaga is a exaggerated persona as if most people really thought she went to sleep in a meat dress. The question about Gaga being a persona proves that but so many answers set the tone before and after it. I don't really understand the demographic she's trying to reach anymore. Who is Gagz trying to impress? If they don't like you after AHS, Jazzga, The Oscars (both years!), etc... then they never will, so why pander? Some people will only see her for what she did in the past but I don't think that's such a bad thing. One thing she got right during 'ARTPOP' was eluding to the fact that if someone cannot capture her brilliance then that's fine because it shouldn't (and doesn't) matter. Her being slightly dismissive of 'Born This Way' yet applauding her recent endeavors also says a lot but it's a little upsetting. With that said, though, I loved what she had to say in general and believe she made many good points. I still take issue with her comments on "selfie culture" and find her stance a bit unrealistic, not to mention contradictory, but I appreciate the idealism at hand.

I don't think she is pandering, she simply did AHS, Jazz, The Oscars etc. because it was important to her, and something she personally wanted to do for herself.

I am not denying that but it does seem like she wants the GP to remember these things over her pop career because then they'll associate her with plenty of controversy. There is some pandering going on for sure. For reasons beyond me. I thought C2C was 50% pandering to the GP, 50% exploring a genre she loves. But as someone said on here long ago, the C2C area did not end when the promo did.

I think I'm gonna need to watch this interview several times to get what she is talking about most parts :rip:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
