I have some questions to ask to people who threaten to tear up their stan cards if she doesn't do LG5 right. I don't mean to be rude, bitchy, sassy, shady, etc by asking so please remain calm

Please read this slowly and take your time to actually think about your answers   :staymad:

1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her? Yes or no?

2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no?

3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her? Yes or no?

4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no?

And if yes to any of these questions, then why?

If no, then why not?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

If I like it, I like it. If I don't, I don't. But I'll continue to be a fan :hor: (even if LG5 is Mark Ronson-produced fart sounds over big band instrumentals)

I listen to artists whose music gets only 100,000 views on YouTube, I don't see why I'd stop liking Gaga because she's not selling 1M albums in a week. Would I be less obsessed? Perhaps, because there wouldn't be as much to rave and be excited about; but I would still preach the word of Gaga and love ha.

1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her?  No, I'm here for life :hor:

2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Not at all. The personal connection I make with the music is what matters to me.

3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her?  No. But I do appreciate when she has commercial success. Because commercial success means that her message has a more powerful impact on society, and I believe strongly in the messages she puts forth with her music, such as free expression and acceptance. Also, commercial success leads to more performances, bigger tours, etc. all of which would benefit me as a fan. This is why I believe it's OK for fans to hope for commercial success, along with artistic integrity. Gaga has repeatedly proven in the past that it is possible for a balance to be struck between the two.

4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no? Never. My fav things about Gaga have always been the lesser-known things about her/ the the parts the GP ignores. I became a fan after listening to her live performances on Youtube, and discovering the genius of her music by appreciating her albums as a whole, not just singles on the radio or videos that go viral.

1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her? Yes or no? Never have and never will. I don't care if she flops publically or on the charts, to me is the queen!

2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no? She didn't last time and I haven't yet. so no.

3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her? Yes or no? I like it when people talk about it but it is not the reason I like Gaga. I like her because of her philanthropy work, and her vocals and writing.

4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no? I loved her because she was different and I saw that legend potential that I hadn't seen in anyone for a very long time. I believe the fame culture of this world has abused her or she feels abused by it thus why she is now more recluse. She is still the master of the art of fame. She has said nothing about this album - yet we are talking about it multiple hours on the daily!

And if yes to any of these questions, then why?

If no, then why not?

Up above and in bold. It is funny because I have these answers running in my head constantly....

Gaga is the only mainstream popstar i follow, all my favs are alternative indie flops.

If she flops it means more freedom, she wouldn't have to cater to radio stations and to the gp's taste

1. No. But if the music is bad I'll just become a casual fan, like I am for Rihanna, Bey and others. I don't see the point in being a dedicated fan anymore if I don't like the music.

2/3/4. No cause that's bs.

1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her? Yes or no?

No. Quality over quantity any day.

2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no?

No. ARTPOP is her worst album commercially and yet I'm still here.

3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her? Yes or no?

No. I want the album because she is capable of making great music.

4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no

No. Her music and her voice is what got me hooked.

Bottom line is, numbers are irrelevant if she release a quality album. Charts do not influent my taste in music. Records sold does not determine the quality of the work.

There's absolutely nothing wrong if you're interested in charts and want her succeed, but it really should be #musicnothteblingAH. It makes no difference to me. If she succeeds then of course I'll be happy for her, but if she doesn't that's okay too.

This is the thing with stan culture. People take their fave's achievement as their own, as if somehow they benefit from it. "I'm better than you because my fave is better than yours" :saladga:

1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her? Yes or no?
No. Full offense but any fan that does is not a real fan to begin with. If I wanted to stan chart success I'd be on Billboard Daily or something.

2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no?
No. I don't care about commercial success. Some of my favorite albums have sold less than 'ARTPOP' but that doesn't mean the work is not high quality. Sales =/= good music. I love it when Gaga is dominating the charts because I want her to succeed, and I believe that's typical, but it is far from necessary. There are also many different types of success. Commercial is one of many. If she's killin' it any other department then why should I care if I can hear her new single in Macy's?

3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her? Yes or no?
Even if it doesn't sell as well as her prior albums I know it will be talked about, and quite frankly, I'll be surprised if it doesn't outsell her last pop effort. I'm not putting too much thought into this category and that's probably for the best. Too many people overvalue the importance of the charts. I'd rather have a heavily acclaimed record any day. In 2016 more than ever I have noticed that if hype is on your tail then the rest will follow. If it doesn't sell a ton of albums then it doesn't; if it does then it does. I want the album to be GOOD. That's what I'm after.

4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no?
No. That is one of the last reasons I'm a fan.
