Andrew Warhola 12,992
To what extent do you believe ARTPOP will be reevaluated (by this fanbase), once LG5 has been released? It's no secret that Born This Way has benefited heavily from ARTPOP's underperformance. I personally have always been a fan of both Born This Way and ARTPOP; the latter being, in my opinion, Gaga's most ambitious project if it had not been for what seemed like last minute changes, an inconsistent theme and an overall poor execution. Do you believe that a successful or unsuccessful LG5 era will entail the realization that ARTPOP is now a memory and as such must remain untainted? Or did Cheek to Cheek already relegate/elevate ARTPOP to a finished chapter in Gaga's career? she's a party girl with a bad habit for drugs
REALITY 76,896
I think ARTPOP will, for the mean time at least, be considered one of Gaga's more experimental albums. Everything leading up to that album—most notably previous albums—seemed to have a synced theme and overall better consistency. I personally don't think that ARTPOP will have some sort of "redemption" even if LG5 isn't as successful as Little Monsters and the G.P. might like because you're still going to have to compare ARTPOP with the likes of Born This Way, The Fame Monster, and The Fame—not to say that the album is bad, it's not at all, but it just doesn't hold up in terms of sales and overall likability than her previous works. If LG5 is a massive success, or at least better overall than what ARTPOP did, it may just over shadow ARTPOP and and keep it as a "memory". Seeka 12,372
I think since Born This Way was more appreciated with ARTPOP's release, I feel ARTPOP will benefit from the release of LG5.
