Neither have pledged, what's your point? Superdelegates have ALWAYS been part of the nominating process. They have consistently pledged their support behind Hillary and that is NEVER changing. She is the nominee whether you like it or not. :)

Eh I wouldn't bother.

She's had it for months now. Literally no competition lol

Considering Bernie has 45% of the vote, this is just blatantly untrue.

I knew they were part of the nominating process, you're not teachibg me anything new here.

But ALL of the delegates have expressed support for Hillary? Not so sure, I guess you all have to stop taking things for granted and wait and see.

Honey...SEVEN superdelegates just defected from supporting Sanders to Clinton. In addition, out of the 119 superdelegates that have not picked a side yet, a few of them declared support for Clinton.

That got her to 2383.

What else do you want? Sanders is already losing support. He's not going to gain it. It's over. I'm sorry.

Ah..it appears SEVEN superdelegates have defected from Sanders to Clinton (from 55 to 48). With the delegates from Puerto Rico and additional superdelegates who have previously refrained from supporting a candidate, Clinton clinched the nomination at 2383 delegates :)

Thanks for this clarification, I didn't understand why they were suddenly calling it in the middle of the day with nothing major happening today in terms of primaries or whatever :emma:

This isn't over until July 25th. See you at the convention.

No shade intended here, but I cackled at this   It reminded me of the villain losing at the end of the episode in a cartoon or something and vowing revenge :laughga:

Wait what? How? I thought the NJ/CA primary for the required remaining delegates was tomorrow.

Are you sure about this?

She's still 23 delegates away. They're already calling it... However Superdelegates can change their vote until the convention actually happens. I'm just as confused as why the AP is reporting this. They're the only ones...

Well I looked it up.

Apparently seven superdelegates switched their support to Sanders.

Additionally, a certain number of previously neutral superdelegates declared their support for Clinton.

This puts her, conveniently, at 2383 delegates, enough to clinch the nomination.

I don't think this is well-timed lmao....some CA voters will probably feel that their vote doesn't count now and won't show up, handing the win to Sanders.

Oh well ... hopefully this won't blow up before then :lolga:

She's not 23 delegates away. AP delegate tracker has her at 2383 now, reaching the number needed to win the nomination.

Google has her at 2383. Just google "Primaries." Superdelegates have switched from Sanders to Clinton.

Trust me, they won't change from now all the way to July. It's over.

I've been knowing she'd win since a long time ago but still.... sad day.

Settle For Hillary 2016 ~

No one quote me with their pro-Hillary BS, please. Let me take it in.

Called it.

Hillary doesn't want this. She wants to win CA/NJ and this will discourage voters from showing up.

My analytical skills at work :lolga:

Right, but those delegates are not pledged? They could easily change their minds if Sanders has enough votes tomorrow night?

This just seems super unprofessional. I don't understand why they would say she's "clinched" it. She's met the threshold for now. Their votes can still change.
