Sarandon: Hillary more dangerous than Trump

Susan Sarandon, who previously made clearthat although she may not vote for Hillary Clinton, she is not a Donald Trump supporter, is again making provocative statements about the state of race. This time, insisting that Clinton will soon be criminally indicted and that if she isn’t, then she will surely prove more of a danger on foreign policy than Trump.

During a couple of recent interviews while campaigning on Sanders’ behalf in California this week, Sarandon took aim at the media’s coverage of the 2016 election, namely what she argued was a lack of scrutiny on the Clinton campaign.

During an MSNBC interview on Thursday, Sarandon asked why the FBI’s investigation into State Department email use was not getting more media coverage, asserting that a criminal indictment of Clinton is “inevitable.”

“Nobody’s even talking about this indictment. What happens with that?” Sarandon asked MSNBC’s Chris Jansing. “Besides the trust issue of catching her in so many lies.”

“Well, there has been no indictment,” Jansing quickly pointed out.

“No, but there’s going to be. There’s going to be. I mean, it’s inevitable,” Sarandon said, adding that “[W]e don’t know that he’s not going to get the numbers either,” referring to the number of delegates required for Sanders to clinch the Democratic nomination:

Sarandon made clear that she believed because of the lack of media scrutiny placed on Clinton’s record, she viewed Clinton as actually more dangerous than the blustery strong-man running on the Republican ticket.

“I believe in a way she is more dangerous,” Sarandon suggested without mentioning Trump’s name, after Chariton asked her why Clinton’s foreign policy went largely unchallenged during the Democratic primary.

“She did not learn from Iraq, and she is an interventionist, and she has done horrible things, and very callously, I don’t know if she is overcompensating or what her trip is,” Sarandon said, adding, “I think we’ll be in Iran in two seconds.”

“So I’m curious to see if anyone brings up these things,” she continued.

“But this is what we’re fed. ‘He’s so dangerous. He’s so dangerous,'” Sarandon said, shrugging off Trump’s most controversial rhetoric as too implausible to be considered a serious threat.

“Seriously I am not worried about a wall being built, he is not going to get rid of every Muslim in this country… but seriously, I don’t know what his policy is. I do know what her policies are, I do know who she is taking money from, and I do know that she is no transparent, and I do know that nobody calls her on it”:

Oh so he would not appoint a Republican Supreme Court Justice to further the Republican agenda far beyond his tenure for another few decades, and he would not work to overturn what Obama has done with a Republican controlled Senate.

Even if he didn't pass anything, his presidency alone can undo a lot of progress. How is that remotely better than the status quo you continue to press as "irrelevant".
