Do you really think she scrapped a whole album?

C2C helped her the first time, the second time nobody will care.

People want new pop music from her, they know she can sing, they know legends trust and recognize her talent but the whole jazz inversion won't work this time.

Well I guess that's just your opinion, I think their album will slay again. Just because most of her fans want pop music more, doesn't mean all people want her exclusively as a pop star.. Cheek To Cheek earned her a lot of new fans, it wasn't just about telling people that she can sing.

And honestly, if the jazz albums didn't exist she would just have a blackout until LG5, these albums don't delay it.. She simply is not the artist that will release one album after another every year. While you claim that LG5 takes so much time because it's not her priority, I have to argue that it's taking longer than some nice jazz covers album because it really matters MORE to her and she wants to perfect it.

I think she did. I do believe they were ready to roll, but hen the Bowie tribute bought her some time to start over. Oh, Gaga. :duck:

"About a year ago, I was at a friend’s birthday party in Paris. I was chatting with Gaga’s manager, Bobby [Campbell], and I said, “We should finally do something.” We had been talking about it for years. Gaga was a regular columnist for V, and she always wanted to do more. I said, “Is it time for her to edit a whole issue?” He said, “When?” He felt like early 2016 was going to be quiet, but then she won a Golden Globe, appeared on the Grammy Awards, and performed at the Super Bowl, all within a month." - Stephen Gan, V Magazine

According to this, nothing was planned for that time.. I really think it was planned for late 2016 all along!

I think Q2 2016 still counts as early 2016..! :awkney: And she hasn't released any album in Q3, so I think Q4 was the plan all along! And to think I kept telling everyone since 2014 that LG5 would come in May 2016..

Releasing two jazz albums within two years whereas she hasn't release any pop album doesn't seem like a priority to me.

Starring in AHS for second year in a row doesn't seem like a priority to me.

She does what she wants and that's all that matters. I think that Tony and Gaga have a lovely relationship and I am looking forward to the album. You don't have to be excited about the new jazz album but lets not spread negativity because it's not going to change anything. Just try and be patient, I know you can do it! The new pop album will be worth the wait.

Gaga has a lovely relationhship with lady starlight as well. Should i be happy when she releases an album with her?

I'm not spreading negativity, i'm just expressing my opinion that i dislike this project and i find it wrong on so many levels.

We don't know whether the new album will be worth the wait or not. It could be another AP mess.

good for her i guess.

However, when her next album flops i hope she won't have any meltdown on twitter like she did with AP cause at the end of the day she will be doing what she loves :excited2:

I wouldn't be mad if she did, I'd prefer new songs than Bad Romance 2.0, Poker Face 4.0 and Just Dance 3.0 or what ever y'all call 'em.

Nah I wouldn't think so, I think she just has to scrap loads of songs because she makes so many when she's working on something   If over time the direction and sound is changing then it is what it is really - I'd imagine the album and the overall sound would kinda swing and swerve and eventually the soft and malleable mould would solidify into a distinct shape :flutter:

That's so poetic! Lady Har Har
