Should LG5 be a 2-disc album?

For Christina Aguilera's 5th album, Back to Basics, she employed a 2-disc method. For the first disc she created pop, hip hop and rnb music which was similar to her prior music, however it did feature influences from older music to make it sound like " a dusty old vinyl album." On the second disk she created music that was heavily influenced and resembled closely the jazz, blues, and swing music of the 1920's, 30's, and 40's. Do you think it would be interesting for Gaga to do something similar with LG5? She could create a first disc featuring pop music like she usually creates that features small influences from funk and disco, and then on the second disc create funk/disco/rock music without very much pop influence. One advantage would be that the album would be able to have more tracks without having filler because she could create two smaller albums in different genres. It would also appeal to a larger crowd which would generate more interest in her music. She would also be a good way to explore lots of different music without compromising on anything. Would you be up for a double album or would you rather have one unified album?

I'd be here for it. It would maybe be a way for her to overcome the creative differences she is having with her multiple producers :sis:

But I would think she'd like it all to fit into a single, unified concept or theme, so its more likely we will get 11-15 tracks on a single standardd, no deluxe or "special editions" :emma:

Yes, if there are enough solid materials.

It can be sold separately as well.

One on the beginning of the year and another one on the end of the year.

Something cohesive as Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Stadium Arcadium or Mesmerize/Hypnotize

One of the advantages of a double album like this is because she is writing different types of music she can create 10 quality pop songs and 10 quality rock songs instead of 10 quality songs and 3 fillers because she ran out of inspiration in that genre.

I'd honestly rather have no more than 12 or 13 tracks on the album. I hate long albums. The ideal number of tracks for an album imo is 10 really solid tracks.

Well, I wish ARTPOP would've been like that, but I like your idea. The more Gaga songs, the better to me. I know they'd talk about it like crazy and probably say "Less is more" but at this point, I know Gaga's music is always good quality. It'd be super fun to have 20 songs on the new album.
