What's the obsession with Mark Ronson?

Hi there, it's been a while since I last posted in here but I guess it's time to get back to work.

I am truly mad that everyone on this site seems to love Mark Ronson and look down at RedOne. I mean, let me state some points:

1. "RedOne is basic and generic, we don't need his sound anymore" --> RedOne has produced massive hits with Gaga, they have built a magic together no one else could have ever built before and all the songs they've worked on together have turned out to be extremely perfect and flawless hits. I think we all agree it is really different when RedOne works with other people, but when it comes to Gaga he clearly knows what to do, and that spark in between them can't be denied (talking about their songs)

2. "RedOne is old-fashioned and would never let Gaga grow and go in a new direction artistically" --> Hey there, are you really saying Gaga has NOT evolved since she first released The Fame back in 2008?. COME ON! Just Dance is totally different to Hair, Judas, Monster, Poker Face or whatever. Gaga has the ability to grow and keep her artistic integrity no matter who she works with. She is the artist, she leads, she can decide to go in a specific direction no matter who the producer is, it's just a matter of HAVING THINGS CLEAR and KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. But the thing is that, besides the fact she can "control" the producer, each of them has a specific footprint, a special sound... And I can't really see the point of Mark Ronson's.

So besides these small statements about GodOne, it's obvious everybody has their own opinion and that not everybody can like him but... what's the big deal with Mark Ronson? He has produced a big hit, yeah ("Uptown Funk" an awful, annoying and overrated song I really don't get) but he is actually just the "trendy" producer. He is known for his funky-pop sound and, as I said before, Gaga can choose to go in a different way with him, but, as I have already said, there's something with producers and it's that they have a very own footprint, essence and sound and I don't really get the point with Mark Ronson's. Could someone explain? So overrated...

Yeah, I am mad that RedOne will probably not make it to the final cut of LG5, but it's really upsetting to know that there are probably amazing hits out there that will never see the light just because of Gaga's pigheadedness...

SUMMARY: MARK RONSON IS A REALLY "TRY HARD", DESPERATE OPTION FOR GAGA. SO DISAPPOINTED. He can't make good songs, in my opinion. It's a shame, I doubt he can connect with Gaga as well as RedOne did. I hope to swallow my words eventually, but I am afraid I won't...BoreGa here we come

I just had to express myself ha

IKR it's a mystery to me

He can't produce a good song to save his life

Don't come at me with Back to Black because that album was whack, I listened because people on here praised it and it was such a bore

If anything I can spot more of opposite. People are complaining about Ronson, because they want hits from Redone.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Gaga Lazuli

I don't have any preference, just want to listen to Gaga's voice singing new lyrics to amazing instrumentals again. :air:

I swear if these 8 songs are scrapped, that's basically a TFM that is going to go unheard.

Redone's Songs were good when they were released, but I don't want to hear the same album/twice and I feel like with ROnson she could evolve more and he would bring something new to the table

He's tied with new Gaga music. In which she actually seems to have favor for *cough RedOne cough* So in a sense, it seems more solidified in existence lol.

I'm willing to listen and hear what Gags has up her sleeve. I like that she's progressing in her sound. At the very least it'll have a fresh quality to it. Got a feeling this'll all be legendary. Should RedOne show up or not.

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.

She can evolve with RedOne too. With DJWS she was also going to evolve, and look at MESSPOP...

I see more people wanting RedOne than Mark atm actually lol...

And Mark is very versatile. He has produced pop, R&B, rap, rock, soul, funk... Idk why everyone keeps acting like he's a one trick pony based on his one hit. Especially when they're trying to big up RedOne who has been recycling the same sounds he used with Gaga on other artists ever since The Fame blew up.

As for point number two, RedOne himself said they were making songs that sound like their past work. He said that himself. How could any of us know what it sounds like? But the fact he's told us they were using the old formula and Gaga has seemingly moved on speaks volumes. I trust her.

I guess some people just like Mark's work too? Big deal?
