Vodka

Part of me wants to know why, another wants it to just be over. Never to even happen.  This is all so frustrating. Hope all your friends there are ok. Feeling grateful for mine being safe rn :(

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.

this is really scary and very disgusting, this needs to stop because no one should ever feel threatened at a place they can learn

Or any public place.  I can't go to the movie theater, a theme park, a concert, the mall, or even work without worrying about a shooting occurring.

there needs to be a law or something that news like this remain's a the local level and not national. probably infringing on freedom of the press or w/e but you cant give these people the national notoriety that they want from doing something awful like this.

National attention is needed to bring the terrible US gun laws to everybody's attention, so public support for gun restriction will increase.

You're all talking about gun control but I don't think it's just that simple.

It's about gun control, the culture, the lifestyle, politics, money.

UCLA is a gun free zone.

Many areas of the country are gun free, doesn't mean the surrounding/immediate areas aren't. I've seen gun shops three of four blocks from schools before. While gun control isnt the only issue, i believe it is the main one.

exactly.

culture has to change along with gun laws. the news media's culture of bleeds it leads needs to change. of course tho human nature :emma: someone yells FIGHT! in a park and i'm going right over to watch the mayhem

i also wish support for gun laws could come from people paying attention to the thousands of gun crimes that happen in poor areas but you know, we only care when its a college or some place where "its not supposed to happen" and then it gets attention and eventually dies down. we've had so many shootings in schools and nothing changes. maybe if you want people to see how awful guns are then start paying attention and making national news coverage out of poor communities suffering from gun violence. like 6 people died last weekend due to gun violence in chicago and not a ****ing peep about gun control.

if you want to find instances of gun violence and magnify them in order to pass some law about gun control then there is plenty of those instances you can find every day.

Spoiler

i've said this so many times on here and i'm not even caring about the actual shooting that took place. every time i see these stories, rather than feel sorry for them, I wait to see how big the thread or how long the media coverage goes and then i search google and find like 10 gun murders of people who were low income,  brown or black and just get appalled by the hypocrisy of it all.  i'm not even on topic tbh :neyde: i'm just in here venting my frustration with how the world values some human beings over others but  should have accepted a long time ago that this is just how it is and always has been. nothing will change. back to reading
