Guest
My least favorite era music video-wise, tbh. -Born This Way was the most well put together and effective, so I guess that one. Iconic skeleton look too. -Judas was visually stunning, but it always felt like there was something it lacked. Could never put my finger on it. -I surprisingly enjoyed The Edge of Glory even though it wasn't a big spectacle. There was something sort of pleasing about one of her biggest-sounding songs having her simplest music video. I like her look too. Very representative of the era with the black and white hair and gaudy clothing. -Yoü and I was the second best of the era. I remember it kind of felt like a return to form for Gaga when it came out. Plus, the dance scene with the long teal hair is great and unexpected for a rock ballad. -Marry the Night has a lot of meaning, and I can see why it is so many people's favorite, but I think it's really messy shot-wise and completely loses momentum before the song even begins. Never really did anything for me. The song, however, is one of my favorites. I think a lot of the issues came from the videos not having professional directors (besides BTW). They're still good videos, but I don't think any of them came close to TF/TFM videos, or even Applause really. Don't kill me. It's just an opinion. Guest
The color scheme in You&I and TEOG are amazing. I love Y&I "stories" and looks, Judas is pretty impressive tho ( the water scenes are beyond epicness). Marry the night is good in the intro and by the end, nothing else to me
15jocart 2,305
1. Born This Way - it's sort of camp (although not as much as Telephone) but the creation story is great and I love the dark visuals which are representative of the album as a whole. All of the scenes are genius, especially the one where she's just the head of her own race. Also I love the song. 2. You and I - this is my favorite song of Gaga's (yes, the studio version; don't judge me ) and I love the video although mostly because of Taylor (and of course Gaga dancing in a teal wig inside a barn). This is the first Gaga video premiere I remember waiting for, I refreshed YouTube for the longest time until I could see it 3. Judas - I never really appreciated this one until recently, but I now love how detailed and rich the video is overall. The only part I'm not a big fan of is the muted colors at the beginning, on the highway. It's only until the nighttime scenes that the Gaga magic begins. 4. The Edge of Glory - I'd like to see the original concept video. But this one, if it were any other pop star on the planet, would be a great video on its own. 5. Marry the Night - alright I'm gonna be honest and say I don't like MTN's video (I love the song). It's longer than the wait for LG5, its' sort of hectic but also stagnant at the same time, and the thought of wet Cheerios on someone's body makes me cringe. I can only really watch the part where the song begins. So yeah. Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you
