You know, there are people who consider singing as a talent? :awkney:

If everyone who can sing would write his own songs, how would all the amazing songwriters that don't have a nice voice get the recognition they deserve?

Furthermore, actors dont write their own plots, but does that mean their talentless?

Just because you appreciate the talent of writing more than others, it doesnt mean that it is the only talent or that everybody has to have the same opinion. Is there even a reason for your thread? You could have invested the same amount of time to say something positive about Gaga or an other artist. But hey, if you can be pressed.. :saladga:

So I guess to you people like Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion aren't talented either 'cause they didn't like their own songs?

Oh what a waste. So put me to sing and give me all the money I mean on the bright side a lot of other 'creative people' will get a job right? Lol

like I said you don't get my point.

I still Stan for talented hard working 'artists' not singers

Well I don't know. Do you have a singing voice that's nice to listen to, well trained and liked by a lot of people? Then sure, why not?

Funny how you choose to belittle all the "creative people" who aren't forces of nature who can accomplish everything. Sure sucks for them, right? I don't think you understand the "art" that you keep preaching about. The thing about art is that comes in many forms. There are many different ways of creating art. None is more valid than the other.

I stan for talented, hard working "artists," too. Not just artists who are talented in multiple areas and can accomplish a lot due to their various talents. Talent is talent. Art is art. Deal with it.

They're just singers though not artists!

But see that's talent and I'm not arguing. Talents is not when you have more than one way to express it but when you embrace every little thing you give. I just don't see that with singers

I'm sure she had some creative input in this album. At the end of the day, she signed up to be a singer. She doesn't need to write every single lyric and produce a beat to be an artist. She is skilled at what she does making her an artist.... And I'm over 20 yo

But singing is a talent in itself.

Yes, I get the point you're making that she is closer to a singer than artist, but she is still talented. You don't have to write your own material to be passionate about it, plenty of legends are genuine about the music they sing even if they aren't the writer. Tony Bennett, Nina Simone, Whitney Houston. etc the list is endless of people who didn't write every last one their signature songs, but that doesn't make them any less passionate about it or less of an artist. There is an art to singing and conveying emotions and feelings through your voice, it doesn't have to be all about song writing.

Honey, i'm not pressed :gaycat:

I'm sure Gaga is stunned by Arianas vocal ability and respects her talent.

You can even see her being impressed by her voice in some of her performances, for example when she sang tattooed heart at the amas. But as I can see, your you 're not even interested in trying to understand what we want to say.

Well that's... Kind of your own problem, tbh. Your definition of an artist is quite one dimensional.

If you think Ariana is as talented as you think she is than you're probably a high schooler or younger than 20. Are you kidding me? She has tons of ghost writers, she's not involved in the creative process (READ THE CREDITS ON HER ALBUMS). She co wrote songs , just read that... Co wrote. Even if you change a word in a song you automatically become a co writer yeah nothing else.

Creative people are those that write more than one word, come up with a whole album concept, video concepts and sometimes produce. Yeah now that's talent so stop it already!  Yeah she has the voice but not the brain.

I am 25 and I don't give a crap that she doesn't write or isn't "creative" her vocals are better than anything Gaga or anyone "creative" will ever produce. Its not all about being creative to put on a good show!

Are you sure that you wanted to quote me? I didn't say that people that don't write their own songs are talentless..

She has that vocal talent. Vocal talent is talent. She is talented.

It's that simple. You don't need everything to be talented.

Bloody hooker

I want to put my two cents out there but I don't feel like arguing. Here we go anyway...

Your definition of talent about the music business is interesting. You claim that if you don't write your own music your talentless and people who just sing are just that. Singing is a talent.

I'm 18 turning 19 in about 4 months and music is my talent (producing, writing (I've never fully tried but I have tried), singing (I'm not Gaga or Ariana good but I have my good days), and playing instruments). I know talent when I see it and Ariana has it. She may not have the writing talent but she definitely have the vocal talent.

Hopefully this makes sense because I don't know what to say to a logic/idea like that :saladga:

Having the ability to write and produce music does not come prepackaged with the ability to sing. I don't get this common idea.

!!!!!!! finally someone said it !!!!!!!!
