I'm using your logic. I am aware Gaga wrote all her own songs, but by using your logic, if she didn't, that would make her untalented. I know Gaga has the voice. I think Ariana has got some pipes too. I'm just using the same rules you're applying to Ariana.

But Ariana is just a singer that's all. Gaga has the talent to create and sing and if she didn't I wouldn't be supporting her. We've seen it.  What talent does does Ariana  have without counting voice and 'acting'?

This is ridiculous. Like, you do realise that vocals and writing ability are not necessarily a package deal, right? I don't even like Ariana, but this superiority complex some people have against artists who don't write the songs on their albums is dumb. 

 

Some record executive thought Ariana had a good voice (which she does) and gave her a contract. She didn't display a great ability to write quality or hit songs, so some others who specialised in that area did it for her. Welcome to creative collaboration. It seems to be a foreign concept for many people.

I Stan for talent I guess and you don't. There's always two types of people on the world 

 

ok so someone gave her a job as a singer because they knew she could sing and make money. So where's the talent? The voice?

No, you stan for people who have two entirely separate talents that you somehow think are interchangeable despite this not being the case at all. 

Like I said, I don't even like Ariana. But to suggest that people who don't possess both the talent to sing well and to write music aren't "worthy" of supporting is just... no. So I guess you're right, there are two types of people in this world. I'm one who recognises that possessing a good vocal ability is a talent in itself.

If everyone who can sing would write his own songs, how would all the amazing songwriters that don't have a nice voice get the recognition they deserve? 

Also, actors dont write their own plots, but does that mean their talentless? 

Just because you appreciate the talent of writing more than others, it doesnt mean that it is the only talent or that everybody has to have the same opinion. Is there even a reason for your thread? You could have invested the same amount of time to say something positive about Gaga or an other artist. But hey, if you can be pressed..

You realise that by "milking others for money," she's actually creating work for people who specialise in writing, visual arts, directing, producing etc? Where else would talented writers who don't have a strong voice find work? What a horrible woman she is.

Like, don't get me wrong, full congratulations to artists like Gaga who involve themselves as much as possible in as many creative fields as they can competently manage, but that's an exception, not the rule. She just happens to be capable of a lot. Not everyone is like that. It doesn't make them any less worthy of being famous or supported. Talent comes in all shapes and forms and not everyone can do everything.

Sorry not familiar with her first album, My Everything was decent (although it looks like an amateur attempt now after DW) and probably before Dangerous Woman, I could've agreed. But now that we have this album? Hell no. She is so ahead of her peers. 

Miley Cyrus > Ariana Grande > Demi Lovato > Meghan Trainor > Fifth Harmony > Selena Gomez

I think this is the most objective way to put it taking into account other talents besides singing.

I just wonder whoever complains about Dangerous Woman, what do you want more about the album? It has the bops, the vocals, the sensual melodies, the diversity, while still being cohesive, no fillers. It's easily the best pop album of 2016 so far, excluding ANTI and Lemonade, which are not really mainstream but very left-field and in another league.

Demi is writing, and sings well, but at the end of the day, she is strugling to translate her talent in good music. Selena is her opposite - Revival is the best album from the abovementioned pop girls (bar DW) but her story ends there. Radio hit after radio hit, but her abilities are still limited even though she has improved. Meghan? I think she writes her music, but she is such a mess. She is almost over. Maybe the lead single from the next album and finito.

Only Miley can go against Ariana after DW, tbh. And it's coming from a person that used to be a huge fan of her, while I was skeptical about Ariana, but she proved me wrong.
