We really should not predict how LG5 will do because of ARTPOP. The music will not even be the same and the time has changed, Gaga has changed and her Gaga's whole team as changed, people involved in the album are not the same.  And CtC is the proof Gaga still can be successful.

Don't wanna sound negative but the truth is that since ARTPOP i lost my trust in her.

Aside from the whole Troy issue, she didn't handle the whole era as she should even when she was in a bad place. If something bad happens during the LG5 era then she could easily treat the album the same messy way she treated ARTPOP and this is very likely to happen again.

Unless she delivers a long and well-executed era, i don't expect anything good from her. My faith needs to be restored, simple as that.

I agree with that you're saying but you've lost all trust in her because of one bad era? She's had 3 other successful ones and a jazz album.  Surely that should be enough to reassure you that it was a one time thing?

You're comparing the release of two artists (whose two fanbases supported the album), incl. a legendary jazz vocalist, with a solo one? Why? Fun fact: Tony's Duets II album from 2011 had higher opening week sales than C2C.

ARTPOP was the least successful album of 2013/14 of all the major pop girls, Katy, Miley and Bey outselling her in their first weeks already. She also had the third largest second week drop of all time (as the only pop girl in the top five, excl. Madonna - Gaga's the only artist to have two albums in that top five, BTW is the second). Comparison: Katy and Beyoncé had their largest first week sales of their career and Miley sold a lot more than her previous album, while Gaga sold more than 70% less than her previous one, despite tons of promo.

Let's face it, there's no reason to be confident she'll outsell anyone. It might happen, but I wouldn't count on it.

Do you think the btw era was treated as it should be?

We had the judas-teog single release mess and of course the epic teog music video drama.

Gaga needs to get her scheisse together and deliver an era that we deserve.

I couldn't care two pennies if you care about my opinion, but when you say "she didn't handle the whole era as she should even when she was in a bad place," I think it's your own opinion you should be taking closer looks at. That is at best, entirely unfair. At worst, just plain cruel.
