But the music on the radio truly is an embarrassment The general attitude today is exactly like @Lance said. "Catty". It's a bunch of bitter attention seeking fools trying to make a buck or get some fame of course that doesn't apply to all artists, more so to the general industry itself. I mean, the first major network to "react" to Madonna's tribute to her friend, a music legend, is to be childish and promote their own award show. Her tribute was nice and getting everyone to sing along to Purple Rain actually had me misty eyed even though I don't like Madge or Prince You're stinky
DrewStevens 5,249
I agree, the song choice was not good for Madonna. Both songs rely on vocals so why would she want people to focus on her voice when it's not that great. It was a shoot in the foot.

AdAstra 2,649
Hell, at this point they should just stop doing tribute performances for deceased singers and just show montages of said artists videos/interviews on Microsoft PowerPoint because someone's bound to be offended no matter who does the tribute. StarstruckIllusion 52,897
Madonna's tribute was a flop? Oop. I heard this year's BBMAs was a mess, glad I missed it lol
LilVenusian 579
All I could focus on was cringing at her struggle vocals until Stevie came out The only thing that moved me about the tribute was the pics of Prince in the background It pains me to say but it just goes to show how untalented and boring Madonna is without her flashy gimmicks. Gaga could've come out and sang Purple Rain on the piano and it would of been 100x more moving. On a positive side at-least it wasn't Katy Perry
