You guys are being so unrealistic. Madonna doesn't have powerhouse vocals but so what? She never did. It was a moving rendition nonetheless and that's all that counts.

I'm really shocked by all the comments about Stevie. Be honest, he was just as mediocre as Madonna was :rip: If you're gonna whine about technicality, then you have to throw both people under the bus, not just the artist you don't like.

Don't be complacent. Madonna is supposedly the "Queen" of pop. If that is the best a pop star can do, then the industry is ****ed.
If a stroll through the stage singing off-key is an appropriate tribute to Prince, then we didn't have much respect for him, did we?

Oh, I'm just visiting-

Don't agree with your assumptions.

A performance is affected by your memories and by your emotions.

Real life is different to television singing contests where you do have to be flawless.

Singing about a friend is different to singing about someone you don't know.

Come on, it really wasn't that bad. It was good! All typical haters can leave.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

It was bad. :madge:

And I'm saying this as a Madonna fan. :madge:

The vocals were pitchy and off. :madge:

Her pitch was fine actually, he vibrato was inconsitent which is what i know you actually mean

but it always is so :emma:

Um excuse me that was rude and unnecessary, Madonna tries her best.

This is what annoys me about GaGa stans - so many of them drag Madonna.

Her acting is on par with gaga (say what you like), she has survived far longer than gaga, she is STILL pushing agism/sexism/sexuality boundaries and makes really good music

So shush, she is the deservant Queen of Pop, and Im a gaga stan.

Oh and btw she's a better dancer than gaga

Oh I agree, I loved the tribute! :nick: I don't expect them to be technically perfect, they've been in the industry for so long, they have nothing left to prove. Besides, they created a real moment together that was perfect for the occasion.

I was just responding to the idea that Madonna was the inferior one, Stevie apparently somehow showcasing amazing vocals which he did not. Either they're both subpar vocally or they're not imo. But to me that doesn't really matter in the first place, as long as the performance comes across, which it did.

I thought Stevie Wonder was blind but not tone deaf. He's losing his vocal ability.
