Madonna's singing was not pleasant to listen to. Thank God for Stevie Wonder. Why couldn't they have Stevie do the whole thing himself would have been 10x better.

We get it, she's not Adele/Celine. We really do, go back and listen to prince live... He's more of an instrumentalist.

It was bad. :madge:

And I'm saying this as a Madonna fan. :madge:

The vocals were pitchy and off. :madge:

It was very emotional but the vocals were mediocre.

She's getting a lot of backlash and tbh I understand it. She struggled a lot and Stevie Wonder overshadowed her during Purple Rain. The only good thing about this was that she was friends with Prince but that's not enough to make a great tribute.

I'm not that big a fan of Prince so I probably won't :laughga: but thanks for the suggestion.

It wasn't a train wreck though. Her vocals just weren't there tonight.

Anyway, truly flawless performance!! Of course we all knew she would blow this out of the water!! Her voice sounded utterly astounding

Nobody's questioning Prince's singing abilities though. He wasn't cringeworthy. Now I understand why there were protests.

This. Stevie Wonder was more qualified to do this. I wish it was him feat. Madonna.

lel, it's O.K, I'll give 8 for the guts to do it.

But ya'll know as soon as Stevie walks in, there are huge difference between the one who can sing and who's not :poot:

Stevie is a musical god. That's to be expected.

The whole night EVERYONE was pitchy, but you chose to enter a thread about the performance (which you previously have shown bias about) and comment for no reason, to further no discussion. You chose to be a keyboard critique. Be glad you live in a country where you have that freedom.

Haven't seen another performance from tonight mate. You obviously take pop culture way too serious. Lol you seem so mad. We have a difference of opinion, take a f*ckin chill pill dude.

I can say what I want about the performance and you can continue to whine like a child. Goodnight buttercup :)

Edit: I have no bias. I have a life outside of pop culture, so I have no time to formulate prejudice about Madonna. I assure you the pitchiness I heard was 110% bias free.

I thought she was really good vocally... she has been sooooo much worse at other shows. Really clear vocal and nice vibrato
