I might be bias (for obvious reason), but Gaga's last hit in the US was Applause (DWUW was #3 here in Quebec tho) so I feel like the GP wants to hear new stuff from her, while Taytay still has New Romantics that can be heard on the radio, so her era is not even in the coffin yet IMO. In the end she will win because she is far more GP friendly than Gaga, but again, in the end, her successful singles and videos are just that - successful singles and videos. There is absolutely nothing iconic or influencing about them, even if they can hit 1B+ views. Unlike Gaga's even most under-performing album to date (by her big standards) - ARTPOP - which impact can be felt even three years after release. Same goes for Katy Perry.
