But that's because gaga had the most amount of hardcore fans on the planet then. Gaga had loads of dedicated fans but wasn't relevant anymore. Meghan Trainor is becoming even more famous and recognised day by day she is popular with the public and hasn't got a solid fan base yet. In no way is she declining? TItle, released just over a year ago, sold over 100,000 more copies in its first week than Thank You. Not even being shady, but that is an obvious, undeniable decline  

Whether the public thinks of her as a major pop artist is debatable. She's had a couple of cute hits but she is no way on the level most major pop girls were on by their second album e.g. Gaga with BTW. I don't see her having longevity in the business.

And why on Earth would I be jealous? Meghan's music is mediocre at best and I'd rather wait another 5 years for LG5 if Gaga was going to deliver an album of Thank You's quality

The Fame Monster still managed to sell 325,000 copies in its first week (standard and deluxe combined)  It was by no means a decline because it went on to sell 1.6 million copies in the US alone. Thank You looks very unlikely to move past 500k unless there's another smash hit from the album.
