This is true. Bernie is the one they will blame if Trump wins.

I'm sure she'll win but they've already planned out their blame game.

Assuming a political party's role is to win (and it very much is) -- they can come to three fair logical conclusions if they lose:

-we picked the wrong candidate out of the two we had,

-we should have had a third and different candidate all along (such as Biden or someone else),

-or the Republicans would have beat us regardless of our candidate.

Any other conclusion is absolutely disconnected from reality.

They won't. They don't care about us. The narrative of this campaign has been beyond shameful. If anyone genuinely buys into the sexist violent fan base narrative (that they also pushed 8 years ago with Obama Boys) then they can **** themselves because at that point they're gone. They're more concerned with "bow your head" propaganda than actual discussions on policies. From how I see it, the reason this continuous over the top anti-Sanders narrative is ramping up to a fever pitch all of a sudden when Hillary's nomination victory is supposedly "all but assured" shows that the DNC is simply hedging their bets and setting up a villain they can blame should Hillary lose to Trump because as time goes on we're getting more and more evidence that her win over him is looking more and more shaky. If we delve into 8 years of a Trump candidacy, the DNC and Clinton supporters have no one to blame but themselves for electing one of the weakest candidates this party has ever put forth. As the supposed winner, it's their job to try and bridge the gap with those who aren't entirely in the Clinton camp, instead they've done everything they can to try to isolate them even more, and I say let them. I'm done with it, I've been done.

I find it ironic that you're using this quote while dissing political framing in another.

Sanders may have a "lifelong record of activism", but he has very little results to show for it. Why leave out that very important tidbit?

Maybe perhaps it would be best to not be a stubborn, uncompromising political recluse who uses people and institutions for his own gain, openly admits to doing so for reasons that you apparently are very open to excuse as politically acceptable when they are clearly expedient, and who has been so rigid on his principles that he'd go so far as to vote against very necessary systems like Amber Alert because of minor disagreements on minor issues.

You claim to see viewpoints clearly, when you exhibit the same biases you accuse everyone else of having, framing Sanders as something he is not to rationalize your own positions.

That you continue to excuse him because he has not increased his negativity overtly makes it all the more obvious. His continual advertisement as the system being rigged, when it's clearly not, is only increasing the wedge of trust between potential supporters and candidate. He has not backed off from that platform.

You think negativity is some linear graph or something? It only bubbles and increases when left alone. The longer he holds on to that viewpoint, the more frustrated his supporters become. This "neutrality" is as damaging as it gets.

The mere fact that he did not denounce the chaos in Nevada, issuing a non-apology apology given the blatant threats to the "establishment", is enough to support the statement that is continuing to go negative, if not on Hillary then on the Democrat leadership and constituency as a whole. He's only continuing to frame the competition as something it is not.

Couple that with his recent taunt to Hillary to attend a debate on Fox News of all places, putting her in a somewhat awkward position of having to either refuse and be shown to be "afraid", or accept and be bludgeoned by Fox News which clearly has its own agenda.

Then there's that disgusting grin when his supporters chanted Bernie or Bust. Someone in his position should be condemning that ideology, not gleefully accepting it.

Frankly I'm glad he's showing his true colors. Many of my friends who were Bernie supporters have grown tired of his bitterness and now regret voting for him in the primary.

At this rate, he's going to destroy his own legacy, with his delusional supporters providing the fuel.

Not that I'm calling you one. Just stop spreading this ironic message. Enough.

Or you can have combinations of those, unless of course you think reality operates on discrete variables. That's a very narrow viewpoint of the world.

1 + 2 + 3) We allowed a viable Independent candidate to run because we did not have many viable candidates of our own...

...one who ultimately turned out to be nothing more than a political opportunist when he fervently exhibited his own agenda and stoked the flames of revolution at the cost of everyone else's...

...and ****ed over our chances of winning by smearing our only other viable candidate consistently throughout the race while she did nothing to counter it because she ironically did not want to alienate his supporters...

...while running with implications that he would perform better despite being unvetted, untried, untested, and unbranded, essentially the Republican presumptive nominee's wet dream of an opponent...

...ultimately giving the Republicans a lead that was non-existent before because Independents who would have voted for her over Trump now think she is just as bad if not worse thanks to the political opportunist's bullshit.

There...fixed it for you.

No worries anyway. I doubt it'll happen. Trump will implode on his own.

I still think he's been pretty consistent. I'm not tired of him, and wished he would have ended up the candidate. Disappointed that he's not. C'est la vie

When people reply so disproportionately, I'm not sure whether it's because they didn't read what I said, agreed with what I said, or just didn't care :air:

Sure that's totally fine to still want him as a candidate. Him losing won't change that. I just hope it won't play a part in your judgement when it comes to the general.

Ofc I read it- I'm just at the airport ready to fly to Vegas and you know damn well we aren't going to agree lol, I'd rather have good vibes between us than a forest-fire of a debate...again :)

I'm always open minded. I was raised in a family that votes straight republican. I loosened them up over time and they voted for Bernie (first time for any of them not voting red). I'm a big believer in taking everything in, one step at a time, independently of partisanship & party. Once we're in the general election, I'll focus on that part.

I was raised in out in the country so we were taught to always and literally fight for our rights. This country was not built on politely asking for what we wanted. I still do not support this kind of behavior, but when it comes to our FREEDOM and our rights people will begin to feel passion and translate that into this.

sigh. Hillary supporters are TIRED. NeoLiberals have been PERCHED for something to smear Bernie on, and here it is. A microscopic mess. Getting an inch, and going light years. The lie a chair was thrown, and him not sucking that Debbie's girl's *** as an apology isn't enough.

Anything to avoid talking about real issues with y'all, right. Climate change who? Respecting Native Americans where?

Go to sleep y'all.

Hillary is the last candidate holding the establishment together. If she falls, the whole place comes down.

Excuse me? That is the textbook definition of what she is and all her supporters are lmfaoooo. Change only when it's convient for them. Bernie wants change, and is gonna snatch all the rich'a uneeded coins to make everyone's lives better.
