Chelseaaaaaa 1,453
I'll give you a few examples. A: In 2009, she made a very foolish comment about feminism (X) but since then has retracted it. She did so as soon as 2010 and has went on to support feminist causes and write songs explicitly about the subject. As a feminist myself, I am not thrilled that she made such misinformed comments but I know it was due to ignorance opposed to anything else. Many other starlets have made similar comments, like Katy Perry or Beyonce, but they don't receive the same flack for it. B: Her cultural appropriation. Gaga doesn't really do it anymore (thankfully!) but she has worn burqas and dreads, yet her counterparts don't face any complaints. Beyonce has worn a bindi and dressed up as Frida Kahlo for Halloween, meanwhile Gwen Stefani has turn Asian people into caricatures, still, most people bring up Gaga's incessant nine times out of ten. C: Nicki Minaj has quite literally said she's not bisexual, yet pretended to be early in her career for media attention & knowing male fans would find it attractive. Gaga worded an Instagram post weirdly in 2014 where she said she was straight celebrating her gayness (X) even though I personally believe she meant Tommy London & Taylor Kinney are the heterosexuals. At any rate, she has received a lot of backlash for this and since then she has been very hush hush about bisexuality, probably in part due to the overwhelming negativity. I'm more concerned over someone using the LGBT community for their gain opposed to a irresponsible caption. Gaga isn't a saint. She's not perfect. Her fans know this very well. But, imo, she has made right for her wrongs 95% of the time yet most celebs haven't. It's not like she's sitting on a bed of lies without offering clarity. It seems as if the media and bloggers would rather force a narrative that paints an ugly picture than show the beautiful one at hand. It is disappointing. I'd probably be less concerned about this if other women received equal treatment but they don't and never really have. What do you think?
Nino 12
Gaga's held to a higher standard because she's better and more impactful than the rest.

rivingtonreb 438
They want to destroy what she is/has. They love to see huge pop stars like her fail or just say anything that could be twisted into something else, gives them something to write about, she even knows it! We live in very different worlds. Most of my friends don't like Gaga because they think she's anti-feminist and lied about her bisexuality. I've changed some minds but it's still unbelievable how turned off some people are by her. Most of the people I know online think the same to a lesser degree. That's why I joined GagaDaily to start with!

As I told someone else, whenever she is brought up the first thing I hear is about how she's not really bisexual or anti-feminist. It's not something constantly talked about. Still, other celebs have done worse and no one remembers. Or cares. It's pretty bothersome.

Shipper 13,078
I am ready for all the negative press that will come because they will COME now that LG5 era is upon us. And I just never read about Taylor Kinney and Tommy London in one sentence together and my mind is giving me graphic images of a threesome. I need LG5 now. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶

DeanWinchester 41,390
I hate hate hate how people are so quick to bash her for being unoriginal even if she explicitly states her hommage and inspiration while her peers go on and pick things up from her without even acknowledging them and they get away with it.
