This years production planning has been a mess so far, but now I feel safe that it will end up good. Christer Björkman, Sweden's Head of Delegation and Show Producer in 2013 and 2016 will be this years Show Producer as well!

Okay Guys kinda off topic but I need your help. In November me and the orchestra I play in will give a concert and we want to do a Eurovision medley. For this we wanna use the best and well known songs of Eurovision. What songs do you think we need to use that also very many people know. Thanks😬

Euphoria is a must! :lolly:

Except Running Scared :reductive:

The Netherlands has had good placings though (Anouk, Common Linnets, Douwe Bob) and you can do Ding-a-dong :hor:

Journalists get to listen to the songs from Melodifestivalen twice on Wednesday nights. Here's how one of them says about Loreen:

Putting the rest in a spoiler so the post doesn't get too long:

Some new info on the Croatian representative Jacques Houdek:

- 2nd of March: the song premieres

- it will be bilingual (English and Italian), mixture of pop and opera

- violine and violoncello guy and 3 backing vocals will accompany Jacques on stage in Kiev

- Swedes made/perfected the song, staging has been in preparation for the last 8 months

I must say it does sound promising and the hype is real and getting bigger, though I won't put my hopes up until I hear the song.

Eurovision 2017 saved. I was really worried that this year would be awful.

Getting hyped and scared and I can't f*cking breathe. This song sounds so experimental, it even sounds a little bit Jamala - 1944. Stop playing with me Loreen. Girl doing gymnastics again. Ribs are shaking, hips a breaking. Help me. Wiktoria_Save_Me.mp3

Sounds good. I got a little more faith in him/the song right now. It seems like bilingual songs is really the thing this year. Once again the Swedes are everywhere at Eurovision, but they always deliver, so I don't mind. O'G3NE will premiere their song on the 3rd of March, I'm really looking forward to their song but I'm also a little worried.

Croatians suck at making music, so I am glad we employed Swedes.

The Netherlands had fantastic choices since 2013, even Trintje deserved top 10 in her semi. So I am not worried at all.

P.S. You deserved to win in 2014 :firega:

I really liked Nebo tho... She deserved to be in the finals too.

Yeah, Anouk changed everything when she participated at Eurovision. Before 2013 happend, nobody from the Netherlands wanted to participate and they all called Eurovision a joke. Now we are taking it really serious again. We are sending our best and biggest artists. Trijntje is a amazing singer, her song was a little bit mediocre and nothing like she normally sings, but she really messed it up with her dress and staging. If her staging was right, she would be in the finals. I'm a big fan of O'G3NE and everybody in my country wanted them at Eurovision, so the country is supporting them. I hope they have a good song, because they are truly talented.

The Common Linnets deserved to win, I do agree. It's funny everybody hated the song before Eurovision happend and now everybody loves it. My gay heart was happy with Conchita, but my Dutch heart was crying, yet I was proud we achieved the second place. We never expected to score that high ever again. Maybe we will win the contest again one day.:giggle:

Nina is such a dreadful person, I am glad she didn't go to the final

Anouk should be famous worldwide, and yes, Trijntje had horrid dress and staging. Regarding O'G3NE, I am worried by the fact that they chose their father's song. I do hope it is the best and that they weren't biased. They might win, you never know :classy:

1 minute clips for the 4th semi-final of Melodifestivalen are online!

I should mention that Jon and Wiktoria have very interesting songs.

Regarding the queen Loreen... It sounds very, very interesting. I like it a lot. Shouting in the chorus probably develops into something interesting that we have yet to hear. Definitely a number one candidate for the win. :diane: :excited2:

Where can I hear that?

Edit: Never mind, found it :) The song sounds really great tbh, as expected from Loreen.. I think experimental is fun and fun is awesome, I truly can't wait to hear the whole song :D
