Hungary‘s winner.

Out of all the good songs Hungary had this year, they choose this one? I really don't get. It's not that bad, I really like cultural music, but this song will have a hard time to make it to the finals. Yet another song in their native language. It's a thing this year I guess.

I'm so excited for the Queens comeback next week! :excited2: I'm watching her previous entries now. I'm still a little pressed My Heart Is Refusing Me never made it to the final :cryga:

I love this woman so much. I'm still pressed too... My Heart Is Refusing Me is a real gem, the Melfest version and the album version. But she took her revenge with Euphoria. Poor Danny tho, Amazing was also a potential Eurovision winning song.

It's Kasia Moś for Poland!

I knew this was one of the favorites. There were 3 favorite girls this year. This wasn't my favorite out of the three, but I'm glad they picked one the best songs. It's something different and thank god it's not a boring ballad.

My Estonian girl Kerli made it to the final too! I'm really glad they appreciate her song. It's not her best song and she was sick today, but she still delivered something good:

I love how you keep this thread alive @Dutch <3

I haven't seen any NF tonight (bar small portion of results sequence in Estonia)

I am extremely sad for Krista's last place in Mello. Like bitch just ****ing compete in Finland, they pay more gratitute and appretiation to real talent and you can easily win there even with a song in Swedish. You just don't have the HYPE factor needed to achieve something in Sweden. :saladga:

Kerli slayed as expected, time to revive that career and fully spread your wings in May queen :firega:

I actually really like Hungary but it could go without that messy rap part, at least violin melody in the chorus is somewhat memorable.

Poland sounds nice but Malta was so boring I had to turn it off after 30 sec. Wyd??

Malta and Poland - snooze fest/one of the many :awkney: slots for pissing I will have this year during the show.

Hungary is brilliant, unique, interesting. Should do very well. Rap part is not good though.

She is amazing, but this song is not. I am very sad by the fact that she will most likely represent Estonia with such a weak entry. That being said, the song is also original and could do well with the public.

Regarding MF, am I the only one who thinks that Robin is also in for the win? Such a handsome guy, sexy staging and very decent song. It's either him or Mariette. Waiting for Loreen.

Btw, I have been checking some betting odds and forums, turns out that Nano is currently number one favourite to win. I do hope that Take Me To Church/Runnin' (Lose It All) rip-off won't make the top 3. International jury will hopefully award him with moderate amount of points.

P.S. Have you noticed how app voting last year made sure that there won't be a landslide victory for any artist in the future? E.g. Mans got 78 points more than Jon Henrik with the old system, and Frans was awarded 23 points more than Wiktoria. Basically, international jury decides the winner, especially if the winner of their vote has a decent advantage (lets say 30/40 points).

Great... Malta picked a female singing a ballad. There already to many female ballads this year. :nails:

There's always so many countries who are 'inspired' by last years winner

If you haven't heard the song yet, it's Claudia Faniello for Malta

I was really hoping for Krista last night, but in my countrys defense both her songs have been pretty weak compared to the others. Maybe they still would've worked in Finland, but she needs something more modern and fresh if she wants to succeed in Sweden.

Haha, thank you! Eurovision is one of my biggest obsessions so I need to expres it somewhere.

Yeah, I think it's Krista her fault/her team. They picked two bad songs in a row. I still think Krista is using Melfest to launch her career in Sweden, but competing with bad song won't help her. So I'm not even sure if she wants to go to Eurovision again, because if she wants that, she can easily compete in Finland again. I'm still pissed they didn't pick a song like her previous singles:

Lol, Albania and Georgia are even worse, so you should use them for you pissing slots. :giggle:
I really like the song from Poland tho, it's a modern ballad like Finland.

Yeah, it's sad Kerli didn't deliver something better. I really wanted her in the Eurovision for years now, but she didn't pick the right song. I still do like the song, but it's not a Eurovision winner.

Robin for the win? I'm not sure about that. His song from last year was better in my opinion. His performance this year came with a bigger budget tho. I think and hope Sweden will send a female again. I think Mariette and Loreen are gonna fight for the crown. I wish Ace was a big competition for them too, but she probably will get her lowest result so far in Melfest. I'm not her for Nano, no thanks.

I think Jon Henrik feat. Aninia can surprise us too next week. I liked his song in 2015, but I'm sure the international jury won't like it that much. I never liked Wiktoria her song, so I'm not sure I will like her song this year. And there's almost no way that Loreen will flop, but I don't want to jinx it. I'm really looking forward to the snippets next week.

Sadly this always happens indeed. This year there are a lot of songs in their native language or 50/50, like Jamala did last year.

The girl can sing, that's something.

I kinda like Malta, it sounds like a rejected disney song in a good way.

Poland has a boring chorus, it reminds me of Rise by Kety. The verses and production is cute tho
