They (Australia) are planning a Asiavision, not even kidding. :poot:

Israel is participating (and won) too tho, even Marocco participated once. :stalkga:

Asiavision is so not going to work :toofunny:

Eurovision is open for all euro-centric cultures in my opinion. That includes Australia.

I agree. They've send quality for 2 (3) years now and they're one of the biggest Eurovision lovers. Much bigger than France for example.

But I see why people don't want them in the compition.

If Australia didn't almost win this year (with would be no ones fault except for Europe) people wouldn't care. But because we came second everyone thinks we don't deserve to compete. we paid money to enter just like the other countries did. If everyone thinks its such a big deal then maybe the shouldn't sell the rights to countries outside of Australia

At least Australia send good quality songs and doesn't take Eurovision as a joke like many other countries that send trash.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

If Ukraine can't fund the show it's gonna be a mess. They had better find a way to do it.

If it doesn't work out for them Sweden can do it again with Petra and Måns :)

The Netherlands have such a strong act !

I agree. I'm actually really happy that O'G3NE gets to represent my country at Eurovision! Especially after our previous participants (with a few exceptions) have been cringeworthy. :awkney:

I can't stop listening to them: their voices blend in so well together. Can't wait for next year. :excited2:

Eurovision started as a place where European countries would come together and be united using music. This was important as not so long ago World War II ended. Today we are again on a brink of global war and we need that same message spreading again. Why not spread it to the whole world, Australia included? Besides, most of the Australians are Europeans which gives them all the credit they need to compete. If one is going to restrict oneself to geography, one is not smart and eligible to be in this discussion. Haters, go away. :reductive:

Also, Australia rocks Eurovision, looking forward to their 2017 entry. :firega:

Yes it is homphobic but not that homophobic as Russia. Besides Ukraine is Russia's enemy, they invaded to Crimea and the winning song was half in Cremean language!

You should check how many points the viewers have given each other last year (: Ukrainians and Russians are not enemies. The west ( USA, europe ) ,  east + asia(  China, Russia ) and  near east have different interests and ukraine is in between. Culturally, russia and ukraine are very connected, so the country is very important for the different participants.

I don't have an issue with Australia competing either. They were my favorite in this year's Eurovision, I was actually hoping for them to win. :classy: I'm still listening to their song these days because I can't get it out of my head!

We're going back to the most popular Eurovision presenters. The fans have voted for their favorites in the 00s and the winners are Jaana Pelkonen and Mikko Leppilampi who presented ESC 2007 in Helsinki!

I have a clue who's gonna win the 10s...

Two more artists have been confirmed for Eurovision. One is Jana Burčeska who will represent FYR Macedonia

The other one is Ellie Delvaux a.k.a. Blanche who will represent Belgium
