Why not? She'll put on a cool show if she focuses on the tribute. The only other person I see fit for this is Bey but she's in tour. I say they drop the bullshit and let her do the tribute. It's only now that I see how annoying the Bowie and Prince fans are.

Beyoncé is nothing like Prince. Prince was funky and free. Beyoncé is always "flawless" which feels stiff even with killer choreography. and to Prince's music she'd just look robotic, amateur and white.

She's never done that at any memorial service or tribute, EVER. People just assume that now because she spoke about the similarities between her and Michael Jackson at the VMA MJ Tribute in 2009. But all she did was point out that they were born in the same month of the same year, both in the Mid-West and both had 8 brothers and sisters. She pointed out that she lost her mother at the age of 6 and Michael became a superstar at the age of 6, yet she felt that Michael got the shorter end of the stick. Because while Madonna didn't have a mother, Michael never had a childhood. He was a very, very famous child star at such a young age and never experienced "normality". She defended him. THAT's why he spent his entire life trying to re-create a childhood, cause he never had one. It was a beautiful speech, yet all people took from that was "Just like Michael I was born in August '58, grew up in the Mid-West and had 8 siblings." As if she was trying to say "I am the female Michael" or something. She didn't mean that at all, she was pointing out why he became the way he was, because up until his death, many people didn't really appreciate Michael's artistry and only saw him as the crazy guy in the tabloids. I still don't get how people see that "she made it about herself" while she literally (paraphrasing here) said "He had it so much harder then I ever did, since I got a normal life before my career and he never did." 

Also take a look at these video's below, she always keeps it demure, full of spirit and respectful whenever it's appropriate to do so.

1. Madonna speaking at the memorial of Herb Ritts, the famous photographer who she became best friends with in the eighties.

2. Madonna performing on the street in Paris after the attacks last year.

3. Madonna performing Like A Prayer for Hope for Hati in 2010.

So true. I am also a member in on of the oldest M fanforums and Gaga is treated like a douchebag. They dont even call her Lady Gaga, they call her Reductive. I am not into this place lately. 80% of members hate Gaga more than everything in their lives and all the other pop girls. There is an extensive analysis how floppy each one of them is next to Goddona.

This so stupid. Like how good "fans" are these ppl IF they don't know how close M and Prince were for like 30 years and worked together and admired each other. He even held a Private concert for her just last year. She IS The perfect one to do this.
