Ibtimes, The Intercept, and Huffington Post are now random articles? :rip: Do you think her supporters of 8 years ago somehow completely died out and the current ones are just a fresh new batch somehow utilizing the same dirty tactics? and once again you're just ignoring what people are trying to pass off with that statistic. If there's no malicious intent in trying to continuously connect him to a mostly white vote bloc, then why even bring it up? You're being unbearably facetious if you're just going to pretend that it's not deliberate and for a reason. And why do you keep bringing up PUMA's? This about how the Bernie Bro is just a cheap knock off of an already failed Obama Boy tactic.

Those are all aggregators. People can post what they want on them. They are not reliable news sources.

You can quote articles from them. Just don't use them as proof without context.

And I don't even get what you're trying to say. Are you trying to imply that Clinton supporters have been remotely as aggressive as Bernie ones? My God :air:

Also the fact that you think that discussing demographics in politics is somehow malevolent speaks a lot about how little you understand politics. It's not insulting to say that Bernie's base is mostly "young white" people. It's fact, and it underscores how his politics function.

Ok but your not the de facto representative of Clinton supporters. And the argument of which supporters extends outside this forum. And to say that Sanders supporters are somehow in a different class of vitriol is just wrong. It's wrong and there's no arguing around it.

idk, i've noticed that people my age (the millennials) are really, really critical of hillary supporters, almost as if they cannot comprehend and to some degree almost cannot tolerate a hillary supporter. in these cases, i think, why, she is basically (in terms of policy) the pragmatic version of bernie. bernie supporters are the dreamers and hillary supporters are the ones who know how US politics works in regards to the establishment and have given up the dream in a way.  both sides are good in their own way, i don't understand the acrimony. they're just two different approaches to the same ideology (in a way). or am i wrong?

And I never said anything about Clinton supporters in general, but she has her own subsection that is just as gross. That's just how it is.

Sure but they aren't as remotely as significant as Bernie's ones.

Let me know when 40% of Hillary supporters in the 2016 race say they'd vote for Trump rather than Hillary, disrupt rallies left and right, and employ violence and tantrums to get their way...and I'll eat my words.

As far as I'm concerned. anyone who voters fro Trump after having backed Sanders is a hypocrite. At least vote third party or abstain. Like Jesus how can anyone support xenophobia, racism, misogyny, jingoism, and blatant dishonesty all at once? :wtf: It's nothing short of being sore losers that Hillary beat their own preferred candidate. That "anarchy" argument doesn't hold ground. If you want a revolution how about you move to ****ing Syria and see how it's really like. So naive. The same people talking about revolution here probably can't go a minute without their phone and the Internet :wtf:

You're not wrong at all.

I'd be a Bernie supporter if my experiences throughout my life did not temper my idealism.

It doesn't hurt that I can see past the bullshit and understand what Hillary stands for.

Ok so you are being facetious. The reason it continuously comes up is to try and steer him away from minority votes. It's the exact same reason it's applied to conservative candidates. Of course demographics are discussed for a campaign, but don't pretend it isn't done to drive home an implication that Clinton is simply a better candidate for minority voters and to set up distrust with Sanders policies. To be purposely ignorant of why things are framed against opponents in certain ways during elections speaks a lot about how little you understand politics.

What kind of failed clapback?

How about YOU provide that evidence since you're making that accusation huh? I've given plenty of reasons for why Bernie supporters have been aggro. Tell me how Clinton supporters have been. Of course you can't. It fits in the narrative of you going on the offensive against Hillary rather than the defensive. :usrs: Show me the receipts of Hillary supporters being disruptive and violent in 2016.

You employing conspiracy theories does nobody any good. Nobody even said that Clinton is better for minorities out of nowhere. Minorities support Hillary because they KNOW her and UNDERSTAND that she will continue to serve them as she and her husband have throughout the years. Bernie has not even tried to court their votes through anything other than shear pandering. He has not stated how he would help them. All his words so far has been for "the working class". Sure it includes them, but economic policies are hardly the only issues minorities face today. Bernie has been relatively silent on immigration, racial divides, among other things.

It's understandable. That's all it is. The mere fact that you fail to understand the importance of demographic voting tells me a lot.

As someone pointed out to you in the thread about that, majority claiming that they'd swap to Trump over Hillary are independents, people who at the end of the day care more about a sick system that continues to work less and less for them and are unconcerned with having to stick to a party line. They aren't necessarily pro-Sanders, but anti-establishment. I mean this article outlines the independent voters thought process in this election pretty well. I'm not saying I necessary agree with him, but this how and why it is.

it really is concerning this phenomenon of people doing this. it's like they are voting (not for the policy) but just to bring down the establishment in some way. i can understand their frustration with the corruption of US politics, but have they even thought about the words that have come out of DT's mouth? i mean, i don't understand the rationale, here. he has painted himself in such an irreparably terrible way with his talks on policy in my opinion (esp. foreign policy), that you have to not be thinking critically about the things he says to vote for the guy.

As somehow who has been to his rallies and has continuously listened to him speak, I know your last statement is false. And your audacity to call out Sanders on pandering when Abuela Clinton was a thing. I mean you can claim it a conspiracy theory all you want, but in my opinion it's just highlighting your intentional ignorance than some fault in my thought process. Once again, why continuously bring up that he has bad voting percentages with minorities at every opportunity if it's not to invoke a negative?

:rip:

Independents are split between Hillary and Trump. Hillary has far more national votes than Trump. She'll be OK. :rip:

These anti-establishment folk are and will continue to be the overwhelming minority. Most independents, despite their names, still align with a party and will vote for Republican or Democrat when the time comes.

Also I suggest you read an article before you try to link it.

The article only mentions how he can win through theoretical examples. It even ends with the following ntoe:

"None of that makes Trump the favorite to win in November. Although Trump’s qualifications and temperament have suffered glancing blows in the Republican primary, they will be relentlessly pummeled in the general election campaign — where his base is a much smaller piece of the pie.

That will badly hurt him with Americans who have a minimal sense of little-c conservatism and a strong aversion to scary-tale risks. But Trump has managed to shake the foundations of American politics like no candidate before. Whether that was enabled by genius or luck (in politics, they are often difficult to disentangle), we should not underestimate him."

Yeah...we should not underestimate him anymore. It's why Hillary is going all out now. One Sanders drops from the race, there'll be a massive wave of support for her over time. Enough of this.

... LMAO every candidate panders. The difference is that Hillary has actually taken steps to helping Latinos and Hispanics. What has Bernie done? :rip: Good thing you can only mention one of many. I just loved how Bernie quoted his civil rights work from 50 years ago and a Christian quote targeting black people while campaigning in New York.

What's worse is that he even promised to meet HIV/AIDs activists before the primary there and ended up cancelling the meeting when he didn't need them. Talk about political opportunism.

If you can't see that minority votes are not important for a Democrat to win the nomination, then there's nothing that I can say :rip:

...your ignorance is astounding. Trump has a very slight lead on Clinton with Independents. This is only one MSNBC poll. That number will inevitably change over time.

general_election_match-up_donald_trump_h

Here's another poll from Washington Post / Qunnipac showing who people would NEVER vote for.

https://img.washingtonpost.com/wp-apps/imrs.php?src=https://img.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/files/2016/03/Qpac_4_never.jpg&w=480

The numbers vary. What can ultimately be deduced is that they are more are less evenly split among Independents, with Trump facing more trouble on his own home front.

Trump is helping them never get deported by making sure all of them arrive legally in the first place. Based Donald. :gaycat:
