The story said it's a woman being beaten, but it's really a guy transvestite. Maybe he got beaten for being a transvestite and people didn't help him because they don't like transvestite either. Yes, he can be transgender but didn't have the operation yet (so not a transexual yet), but less likely he can also be a transvetite wearing those in public. Literally, a "cross-dresser". A person who sometimes wears clothes traditionally worn by and associated with the opposite sex; transvestites are often happy with their gender and have no desire to change their sex, but simply enjoy being able to cross-dress from time to time. Not a derogatory term in itself unless used incorrectly about someone who is transgender. Transgender: Having a gender (identity) which is different from the sex one was assigned at birth, i.e. being assigned male at birth but having a female gender or vice versa Transsexual: (of a person) Having changed, or being in the process of changing, physical sex (because it does not match desired sex) by undergoing medical treatment such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and optionally sex reassignment surgery (SRS), or rarely only SRS. Although some authors distinguish transsexual (pertaining to physical sex) and transgender (pertaining to gender), transgender is generally taken to encompass transsexual and has largely displaced it; transsexual is now often considered outdated ____ We tend to have negative connotations of the word transvestite because it's often associated with people using it incorrectly to describe someone who is transgender.
