LebaneseDude 6,146
I hope people realize that most quality leather is from skin obtained after animals undergo forms of euthanasia. I'm not saying that you can't dislike that too, but making the claim that all leather and fur industries literally flay them alive is beyond the pale. Edited just now by LebaneseDude. Chelseaaaaaa 1,453
At what again? Telling the truth? There is absolutely no reason to buy leather or fur in 2016 with so many alternatives; including ones made by high-end brands.
JustinTrudeau 2,419
Love the ad. Hate the organization. I fell down the stairs once as an actor.

Actually real leather and fur can last for years unlike the "alternatives" that will look like **** and start to peel after one season(if you're lucky). A quality fur coat can literally look like new after 10 years. Don't any of you guys have shoes and jackets? The most ridiculous thing to say is that the real and the fake thing are the same. Not to mention it looks cheap and smells like plastic.

RAMROD 117,121
LOL these bitches tried! Still gonna use my leather Gucci bag tho. And jacket. Especially from reptilia leather, crocodiles, snakes, they are not needed in this world. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ᶠʳᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒʷᵃʳᵈ ᵉⁿᵉᵐʸ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
uo111 5,282
Great ad. People will think of anything to justify their actions or alleviate their guilt because everyone knows eating meat and using leather is unnecessary and humane killing is an oxymoron, but they don't care because meat taste good and leather looks nice. The most reasonable people are the ones who say they simply don't care about the pain, suffering and damage it causes. At least they aren't in denial. I own expensive faux fur/leather from Stella McCartney. It looks as good as it did a few years ago, nor does it smell. I'm not asking celebs to buy alternatives from Nasty Gal. There are a lot of great options now that compare to the real thing. Please do your research.

I'm yet to see faux fur or leather last as long, look or feel as good as the real thing no matter how expensive or designer it is. It's up to you weather or not to use animal products, I'm not gonna question your ethics and I respect your decision. But I can't agree with the statement that real leather/fur is the same thing as the plastic imitation. I also won't agree with organizations like peta that will emotionally blackmail people with things like that ridiculous video of some gory bags with a beating heart in them... LetsGetHigh 52,683
It's not *cringeworthy*. For once I agree with Peta, it's a good video and this time they're not attacking anyone. Wearing leather and fur should be stopped. It's disgusting and anyone who does it is obviously a ****.

If not I recommend you google and do some research on peta to see that they're the last animal rights group you should support.
