The meat industry is horrible to the environment and one of the biggest contributors to climate change/deforestation/extinction of endangered species, yet the majority people are either not aware of it or they ignore it because they don't think it's affecting them. But it very much affects all of us. I'm not gonna go out there and force everyone to go vegan, but I do encourage people to decrease their meat consumption whenever appropriate. Most animals don't die from "natural causes" in the way that humans do, and their skin/fur may deteriorate with their death. Not to mention they would be very hard to come by still intact. Farming animals makes it easier for companies to inbreed animals (which causes a lot of deformities) to get desired results and it also allows them to closely monitor fur/skin quality so the animals can be "harvested" when they are "ripe". It's hard to say it like this, but we are actually bound to kill animals in order to have our food. You don't see a lion becoming vegetarian. A lion won't think twice when it's hungry to strike a human in order to still his hunger. Anyways, becoming a vegetarian isn't all that good either. And I have nothing against them, it's just not making you any better. Leather has been used millions of years ago, in order to cover yourself up.
